  1. I lost 107 pounds back in 1998 doing Weight Watchers and kept it off about 4 years.

It took me 14 months, I wrote everything down, weighed and measured everything. I did not stray from the points I was to eat.

Even before & after I would lose anywhere between 25-75 pounds just to regain it. I am a lifetime member. "lifetime" is key, even with the band I am Lifetime to watch every thing I eat, the band reminds me of this now.

I am down 91 pounds(17 months out) and this experience is totally different. I love my band and wish I would have done this when they first came out!

Thanks for your great post! Thats a lot of losin and gainin! When comes to the bottom line Im realizing that many here are here for that reason, keeping it off. It HARD ON THE body to keep the yoyo going, but not giving up and giving in. Thanks again for your great post and Congradulations on that gigantic weight loss with the band! Woo HOO!!!!!!! Sincerely, Sandy

  2. yea granny I bet you like one way abusive monologues.I told you in PM to stay off my threads, but here you AREAGAIN! Nuthin you said was in a helpful spirit. Yer snide remarks werent lost and you came on here even after being told to stay off and that I dont like you.

I was taught to respect my Elders, but Mom didnt say what to do when they play games like children.

YOU have nuthin to teach me Ole lady. Princess Wuv OUY a wot! AHhahahahahh Buahahahahah.

  3. Also, if you dont know what I think, dont tell me what I think. I think yall are not capable of existing here individually, so you band together and start sht. Tell people what they think.. go where yer not welcome. If ya cant be nice to me on my own thread, STAY OFF MY EFFIN THREAD. Ive not done sqaat to any of yall, but I think yer stupid Btchs. GOT THAT MADDY!

Woo Hoo, Yes Im skeert cant take the truth. Yall are no different than any of us here, except ya formed a gang. THATS SOMETHING TO BE PROUD OF THESE DAYS, Its internet speak for being a Goldern TROLL. So troll maddy, ftasgrma, qncarp, STEP.

I was nice first, then ya get mean! SANDY

  4. to be clear, by "those issues have been well covered:

Ive already posted a thread saying Im afraid of surgery.

Ive ALREADY LOST 100 pounds, at one time.

Ive said that I need to speak with a Surgeon.

With that said, and then looking at these comments it appears that their motives are questionable.Actually Id just like Banded B's to stay off my threads altogether. I cant agree that being a B is a good thing, and Ive read some of their stuff. My threads are serious in content and Id like to keep them that way, and not have them derailed w/ bickering between the banded B's and I. I also will stay off any thread authored by a Banded B. Sound fair? Capisce.Itll have to be.

    Sincerely,

    Sandy

  5. you came into this world alone, you will leave alone. this is a great thing for nobody but YOU, and you can do this alone. Their is support here, and probably a wls support group in yer area for after. Dont dwell on the negs(JERK!),just dwell on the positives!

Dont allow him to own you in this way. He doesnt deserve that. Someone will, but hes not the one Babe. You will find Mr Right that would never in a million years even think about leaving you alone to deal w/ an important matter. HE is blind to that. Hes obviously not knowing what love does. Good luck, and hang tough. Nobody said it would be easy dear girl, and for some even harder, but .....not impossible. Sincerely,

    Sandy

  6. I had an old shrink tell me that for every supporter we have with very important goals theres at least two, who would just as soon derail you, for their own gain. whether its an Im better than you attitude and always will be, cause you are a loser and this diet would be a good accomplishment i dont want you to claim. ORrrrr, he doesnt want other men... IT COULD BE ANYTHING, but look at his timing. He ACTS SUPPORTIVE, but look at his history, and ill bet he was the one bringin you donuts at a point where you were really going to take a diest seriously.ya eat a donut and he says "SEE I KNEW YA COULNT STICK TO IT!!" calls you fat ass, and says hes kidding its humour. TOXIC ALERT, kick him to the curb gal. Lose the weight and make him wish he had never fallen for you! Thats my advice, and I hope you TAKE IT! Best revenge is living well. Honest Injun! Sandy Good Luck!

  7. All excellent posts.

Hely I dont look at it that way. I never thought about in those terms, Do I feel I can keep it off THIS TIME, or am I gonna be starting a wicked cycle once again. THAT is hard on the body in and of itself. Its not a matter of not having faith in myself. Its just that MYSELF (the part that isnt flesh) really loses control over the part that IS FLESH from time to time,MENOPAUSE is an excellent example! I know that illness and the couch were not totally ALL OF WHAT was goin on. Menopause WAS, Depression was, and a ton of other non flesh things, that effected the flesh in the gaining weight way.

Can I keep the weight off? When I can answer that for sure to MYSELF, then I'll be able to "commit" some as someone once said, to the preferred course. Well I may have a few other little questions to, like which method.THAT isnt a character flaw as someone also once inferred, as I KNOW MY BODY BETTER than anyone else. However, Surgeons know their Business best, and I need to know which procedure would best apply to my body.

I Need to talk to a Surgeon, which I have yet to do. I saw something Alex (our beloved Alex) wrote and it included types of procedures I'd never even heard of.There is much MUCH WISDOM in and amongst these threads/forums.Some awesome folk and its a pleasure to be in the company of all. Thanks yall so very much, all of you.

    Sincerely,

    Sandy

  8. Great advice Floridays. I just wanted to add: I dont know about everyone else, but have heard my problem is common. "Exam room amnesia." I forget most of what I want to say/accomplice. FINALLY, I followed thru on an intent to jot my notes on an index card. Put arrows by each point to separate them. It worked fantastically. At first it was rather embarrassing, but only because of my insecurity. It only took one dr. asking one time what the 3x5 was for, and I gave him a brief explanation, how I could never remember....

He complimented me for doing this, and said that he wished more of his Patients would do this(I guess quite a few were doing it too), as it made the appointments much smoother, and the allotted time was plenty in that things were more organized, and the patients much happier.

Anyways, after he said this to me, I never felt embarrassed after that!

    Good luck! Sandy

  9. Excellent post Floridays. Thanks for that. Your success with the band/your diet, and weight loss is duly noted, and BLOWS MY MIND! Caps means Im yelling. WOO HOOO!!!!! YOU ROCK, and are my hero,AS OF THIS MINUTE! Way to go, CONGRADULATIONS!!! JOB WELL DONE, OMGoodness, YOU SHOULD BE LIKE A MOTIVATIONAL DIETICIAN/INSTRUCTOR for the lapband. Really , truly, cheesily, bottom of my heart, Im proud of you unkown lady. You should get a friggin medal or something! Sincerely, Sandy

  10. I had someone say on one of my threads that many have lost 100 pounds or more w/out the lapband, that are presently using the lapband to do the same thing. If this is true of you, Id love to hear how you did it, without the lapband. I may have to try it again. First time I did it was with dr perricones weight loss diet. But, I looked haggard I was told much later. Not healthy. Sincerely, Sandy
