You are alright, gonna do fine. Vicks menthol lozenges helped me with dry mouth.

You took a major chance, and are VERY LUCKY! The Doctor didnt ask any questions or act suspicious in ANY WAY? By the way Im really glad you had a good experience, but I'm afraid someone is gonna read this and get ideas, with maybe a less positive outcome. Afterall the medical staff NEVER explains EVERY DETAIL of why they do something. Shrinking the kidneys may be the short answer, but if theres something else in the longer answer that could involve things like potential death and stuff, if someone decided to copy you gettin skinny could be the least of their worries. Im jist sayin.....and if it happens and YOU HEAR ABOUT IT.........again I'm jist saying this is all my opinion.A Docotor I was reading about in Mexico stopped doin the lapband because he was working w/ a 50% problematic surgery rate. I cant believe that it was ALL THE BAND AND ALL THE SURGEON. Sandy

Im sorry to hear of yer frustrations and illness. I too was like you, and would never watch "the idiot box" as I used to call the TV. The illness came upon me at only 39. It was touch and go for several months, but I too gained the weight from being sick and down and out. Hang tough, there are journies yet for us both, in this life. Know this, please. Sandy , who now watches the idiot box A LOT! Mores the pity, and this too will come to an end, no pine boxes involved. -
lololol, good thread, dont let go dead. no pun intended. except for obvious booty stealin trolls, its nice to see men and women having an open discussion on a rather taboo issue. i like to watch, bwa hahaha haaaa Sandy

mean spirited! I too am very sorry to hear yet again about mans inhumanity to men. if thats office talk I can only imagine what he saves for those around him in a less "business like" atmospere. Shudder to think. All that mean comes from a place of deep insecurity, that cannot be easily changed. I think hes just jealous that you can change something that you find problematic, and yet hes impotent to do the same with his issues. ANNNNND I think he really DOES know what his problems are, just isnt man enough to change them, or like with his height cant. Hes probably enviisioning the new you and cant stand it already. If hes this bad NOW, once the thinner you pops up(no pun intended) he will probably be even harsher. You might want to nip it in the bud with a heart to heart and tell him hes out of line.WAY out of line. Dont ask hid permission to speak, just arrange a private time to "discuss something" and tell him how it grieves you to see his obvious distress, as thats about the only place this could be coming from, or something to that effect. Good luck, you'll do fine either way. Take the high road and dont stoop to his level. You'll be skinny and have your integrity to self intact. Thanks for the post. Hope we helped. Sorry bout the book! G'night all. Sandy

Im rarely jealous of otherss, its just so ugly. BUT IM JEALOUS. Im still stuck w/ a 6 month friggin diet! Good luck, but I know you will be fine! I know that its only natural to feel nervous, but they have a good track record with any real problems. I heard 1/2000, for anything remotely significant. those are good numbers, and last years to boot! Sincerely, Sandy

Id call the Doctor. I saw someone else post about much the same thing. Im sorry that I was rather dismissive. Two now. Too much for coincidence. Have you been drinking soda? Hope you find the cause. Id have been on the phone already to my Doctor. Good Luck! Sandy

I cant see how one would have anything to do with the other. Sounds like somwthing else coincidently going on, jmo. Sandy -
I think what you mentioned should be a pre -requisite to ANY serious diet. It works expotentially!

woohooooooo! Congradulations! Sandy -
PS- I have no excuse. Live in Florida, own a pool and still don t . Its just so painful with my fibro flaring as it has been for some time! Barometer bouncing up and down KILLS ME!!! N I moved to Florida due to the fibro! Go figure. It is not as bad as the North tho, I can say that, on the pain I mean. But, when Im closer to my goal weight exercise actually helps the pain, and definitly like an anti-depressant! No amount of walking inside on a treadmill or whatever can equal breathing fresh air, and gazing at a beautiful blue sky, listening to the birds chirping. Can I get an AMEN! LOL! Sandy not a bible thumper just a Christian, and a bit o drama queen

If you have Insurance, many plans will pay for a gym membership, for medical reasons. Medicare does too. My neuro really likes the water exercise to when weight bearing is an issue. I must say this is an inspiring thread for ME TO! THanks for posting it, and all the responses. Sandy

magnesium ( supplements) work well too, if taken regularly. Walgreens has many bogo, for cheap. Walmart has very reasonable prices on supplements too.Sandy

hmmmm, must be the acid in the pineapple. tomato juice should do the same then. Or any acidic product that ALLOWED.. I always say call the doctor! They always have an on call physician, good ones. Please dont take this as gospel, and I dont endorse, but I looked yer issue up the other night, and at some point it was suggested a small amount of warm water, with just a sprinkle of meat tenderizer, is supposed to undo a bad "stuck." IT SOUNDS VERY WEIRD and thats why I remember it no doubt. Anyhoo thats what I read, but please read my disclaimers! LOL! Sandy

i must take pain medicine for a chronic pain condition, and the medicine is known to cause constipation. I swear by cheap and effective mineral oil. start w/ 1 teaspoon at bed. Good Luck! Sandy laxatives can get quite expensive and very addictive. lesser, more natural is better, imo.

My husbands favorite,(one of em) thing! I think THEY GET MORE erotica from it than we do. Give me a good vibrator or the human equivelant and Im good for 30 seconds! I WISH MORE MEN WOULD GET THIS!!! Because I remeber dating! tellin all my secrets. With weight on and the fibro flaring I have little interest. He wouldnt (hasnt should i say, but ive no crystal ball, so i wont say he wont ever) leave me over sex, is my gut feeling. There are other things besides that and intercourse. OF COURSE. I used to be the horniest toad in the forest, not so much anymore. Sandy
