Hang in there, your almost there, so dont blow it, as this is a temporary feeling, and it will pass. Do some thing anything to get your mind off food. grab hubby and walk a mile, ANYTHING! Its not as crazy as you think. Stuff presses on stuff within our body and gives us radiating pain. Remember that song the "knee bone connected to the shin bone, shin bone connected to the ankle bone.....and so on." They should have a song like that for the nervous system.Ive done a bit o readin, but Im no doctor. I know that I have a deformity in my neck that I was born with, and it involves two discs being fused together invitro. When my low back acts up, and there is pain just as often and at the same time my neck also acts up and is in pain. Other time my neck refers the pain down my arm/s. Theres something called the "sympathetic nervous system", and I think therein may lay the problem. If your intestines are pressing directly on a nerve when full ,OR on something else that then presses on a nerve, it could cause "Referred pain" to the neck area , or just about anywhere. But given the sympathetic nervous system, odds are its referred with the realm of this in the context of neck vs lower body issues. this is probably very confusing, and not easy to briefly explain. I had a pain one time, and it felt as if it was in my right ovary, and throbbed something fierce. Oddly when the Physician pressed on the very spot where the pain was, I could feel another pain clear over around my vagina,colon area.Referred pain, he said. Bone and nerves require orthopedic doctors and then neurologists. stomach and intestines are more gastro- intestinal. PCP doctors basically help you rule out which drs, should be seen and in what order. You could talk to your pcp. Or if you already have a GI doctor and/or surgeon, ya might want to talk with the one youve got already. Its up to you and how much money you have to be referred and referred again, etc. etc., if ya get my drift. Good luck, and I hope you get it fixed. Pain sucks! Sincerely, Sandy

Wow! It never ceases to amaze me mans inhumity to man. When my Son was growing up, and he had adhd, oh! YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE. PLUS he ended up being gay, and the kids at school had a notion, but I was clueless. DONT MISS THAT! But I can give you some advice. Dont sugarcoat it. Talk to your Son about if he wants to be like that to hurt people just for the sake of doing it. Tell him to use those kids as an excellent example of how HE DOESNT WANT TO BE! Tell him that hitting hurts, but words only hurt if you let them. Because (you should tell him) he cant change everyone, ONLY THE WAY he reacts to them.I feel for your family having this sort of thing going on, but kids are mean. If they smell blood they attack. More than anything he must not let them know that it hurts. IGNORE IGNORE IGNORE! He cannot fight your battles, just a child. If ya think they are mean now, just wait and see when they know they have goaded him. The best revenge is living well. Lose the weight. it might be even more incentive. GOOD LUCK! Kids like that feel mean inside, as something IN THEIR HOME makes them want to hurt, and lash out. Id drive my kid to school until Id lost the weight , but thats me. I actually HAD TO DO THAT VERY THING, before he got hurt badly. Kids with rubberbands and paperclips, almost got him in the eye. Thank goodness it didnt. But after driving him for a while and when he went back on the bus most of those kids (who just happened to be transient in nature, Florida, apartment living heathens) had moved away or forgotten, and it was fine. Ive nothing against apartments these kids just happened to have this living arrangement and were heathens. One was from a rich home, but he went on to middle school, while my child stayed in grammar school. Lawd, I wrote a book, but this struck a nerve. GOOD LUCK AGAIN! Sincerely, been there Sandy

Alex, you are truly a well spoken individual. Your passion for something that actually works is very evident. This was a well written piece. I honestly had no idea about a couple of these precedures and thought I'd completed a fairly comprehensive read on WLS, in general.But, its obvious to ME after having read this that I need to spaek with a well rounded Surgeon. I have that on my bucket list anyways, so now I will go in more informed, Thanks so MUCH! Thanks for this and all the other wls sites too. They DO have a welcoming FEELING associated in the memory/contemplation of,the use of a forum. You are a neat person I'll wager, and probably make an awesome friend! This is a good post. How did I get so fat? Hmmmmmm. Eating, medicine that made me tired, bad health, no exercise due to health and tired, more eating, more and more meds that make me tired, and more eating. there ya have it and it sucks! Sandy

For the love of God, dont go to a a hardware store and ask that question.I am in know way questioning your intelligence or trying to insult you. I'd hate to have a teenager or such come online and read the before mentioned post. HEY, IT HAPPENS! If ya think cold weather is bad for exercise, try doin it when its say.....88 degrees out. THAT is tough! Particularly (and you wouldnt know bout this personally, I hope) whenyer prone to hot flashes anyways. Yeah buddy, its really special! Ha, lol. They make a product that is for people who have bad scarring, like been in an accident. or pigmentation, like Michael Jackson(R.I.P.) had. You might have to do some sleuthing work, but its worth the trouble if you find it. His was full body as far as I know. Good luck, Im sure you will find something.
