Hi Ladies, I'm getting banded tomorrow. First of all think about everything that you went thru before having the surgery. Put yourself back there mentally. You DO NOT want to be here again!!!!! This pre op has been the longest 2 weeks ever!!!!! I'm curious how you gained the weight back. Maybe you should go in and be tightened again and start back with the Protein Shakes. Are you eating when your not hungry (which is what I did all the time 2 weeks ago!!!!) or is just bad food choices???? Curious to hear what your experiences have been. You can do this!!!!!!!!

Good luck everyone who's having surgery today. I have been on the Protein Shakes, broths, Jello and ice pops for 11 days. My surgery is next Tuesday. My stomach is not handling these shakes very well. Anyone else having these problems??? I can't wait for cottage cheese. Never thought I would say that. LOL.

Yes, I think it's normal. I get banded on the 6th also. I am on my 6th day of Protein Shakes and I am absolutely starving. How about you?

OMG, this is killing me. I am 2 weeks pre surgery. So when this happens to you, do you spit it out or swallow it?

I am getting banded in 2 weeks. Why does food get caught in your throat? I know we can't drink while we eat but if it is stuck, why can't you take a sip of Water?

I'm getting my lap band on Nov. 6th.

I'm new also, I start my liquid diet on Tuesday and I'm scared also. I did a liquid diet last year and did really well except I did eat a sensible dinner so this is a little nerve wracking that I won't even be able to eat dinner ((. Yes, I know the first couple of days are the worst. I am so not looking forward to this but I am looking forward to getting started with the band.
