I’ve been overweight since I was 10 years old, also the point of which I hit puberty. At 10 years old I was the same height and build I am now (busty and chubby, 5’4), and I had a consistent period from that point on. That being said, whenever I saw a doctor they would bring up my weight. So now, here we are, some 15 years later and I’ve gone everything I could possibly think of to help with my weight.
Here are a few answers to FAQ’s I get.

I’m the only overweight person, My entire family is thin.

I’ve had my thyroid, cortisol, and hormones checked

I’ve tried weight watchers, lost 3 lbs.

I’ve had a personal trainer and ate under 1200 calories Twice, once in 2006 for 4 months and again in 2011 for 5 months. I didn’t lose anything either time.

My doctor said I’m more healthy than most thin people they see. The only alarming number is my weight.

I don’t have high blood pressure or cholesterol.

I did the body diet. (could only have natural, unprocessed, non-startchy foods) Lost 2 lbs.

Fasted from meat for 2 months.

Fasted from Dairy (feel better)

At one point I was going to get the lap band surgery in 2010, our insurance lapsed.

Intermittent Fasting - AND IT WORKS!! :]

I have no re-considered the lapband as my body survives on a low calorie count, so it's perfect for my lifestyle.
It’s been a heart breaking journey, but I’m still determined to do what I can to get through this and figure out what will work for me.
It’s hard, but not impossible. Ultimately, don’t lose hope. Don’t make excuses. Keep pushing forward if it’s really what you want.
