    Fabulous February Post-Op's

Your welcome. Hopefully you won't have muscle or nerves cut if they did make sure you get some major pain killers to take home...I'm more than two weeks out and I still can't walk around our sleep in my bed due to severe pain....I'm praying it will Go away before next weekend or at least allow me to sleep in my bed and not a recliner.

I had my first BM on discharge when I got home and not to scare you to much it was all old blood which scared me and my husband he called my surgeon and he said not uncommon and to monitor it. By third day I had normal BM. They should tell everyone that there is a possibility of blood BM.

Btb yes they cut a muscle and some nerves and then stitch it back together, muscle or nerve causes unbearable pain because of the pulling and healing. Friends that have had cesearn sections have told me the same.....OUCH no pain meds work!

    Fabulous February Post-Op's

Ahaaaaaa last night I ordered some fresh take out just to have some lemon cod, I enjoyed every bite.....yummmmm So over cottage cheese and Greek yogurt makes me gag when I look at it....I needed some flavor in my food and because I'm in so much friggin pain from the muscle/nerve being cut and healing I don't feel much like cooking....I'm down 17 pounds from feb 6th. My hubby took me for an abdominal support band maybe it will help.....don't get me wrong I'm glad this is behind me and the band is gone. The severe pain is keeping me down I need and want to get back to work and my life I'm praying for a quicker relief from this godforsaken pain......ROCK ON FEB POST OPS

    Fabulous February!

Ok 2 weeks and 3 day post band to bypass with the worst ever muscle and nerve pain I have ever known (almost broke down and cried it is so bad)...why wasn't I told this would happen? I have resorted to sleeping in a recliner chair because I can't get in and out of bed due to the agonizing pain... Received lidocaine injections on my post op visit only to have a few hours of relief...WTF?!! My husband took me to a medical supply store today to get an abdominal binder in hopes that it will help, so far minimal relief. This the only thing keeping me from getting back to my normalcy. I will be calling my surgeons office on Monday they must give me something for this Tylenol/Lortab don't do a damn thing....so far I only know of 2 of you that have this!

Yep went in Wednesday was loaded with lidocaine it helped for few hours only...I'm hoping this pain is on its way out I have to hold the area when I walk or stand. I know muscle takes longer to heal I just wanted to know if that was what I was experiencing ....so far you and my surgery buddy have this type of stitch. Pain do zero for this for me....thanks for letting us know we aren't the only ones.......

One Week Post OP!!!!! Tylenol manages the post op pain well, Lortab anyone? On to the Potassium and Protonix if I don't forget! Suggestions from anyone please: 1. How are you get 64 ounces of Water in a day when there are so many constraints on how and when you can drink???? 2. What types of Proteins are you eating (puree forms for now)? I'm so bored, but at same time still to sore to do much.

Sorry to hear he is being a jerk.... I asked hubby to come with me to my class after that he was on board, he didn't realize what major sacrifice and decision this is for you and how much have thought/contemplated before deciding. its about YOU not him. I hope he has a change of heart or the new you dump his sorry self and will be devastated. Hang in there.....
