    2 weeks out- buffet?

mild fishes like cod or tilapia. Soups. i wouldn't do fruit unless you are cleared for fruits, besides you need the Protein first and that will fill you up. HW 250/1st Lapband 198/2nd Lapband 232/Pre conversion 2/6/13 to bypass 232. Currently 206 Bariatric GW 134, Realistic GW 150

    Gallbladder Removal

I signed the consent forms for removal of gallbladder and biopsy of Liver if necessary. Came out of surgery and with my gallbladder and no liver biopsy. I will definitely ask on my post op appointment why he felt it wasn't necessary to remove my gallbladder....We had this talk prior to surgery and told him to just take it out so that I wouldn't have to in the future.. Got some splainin to do lucy! HW 250/1st Lapband 198/2nd Lapband 232/Pre conversion 2/6/13 to bypass 232. Currently 206 Bariatric GW 134, Realistic GW 150

    Fabulous February Post-Op's

Kat I went back to work a week ago half days. I'm sleeping in bed now I'm sore still but nothing like that horrific pain the first 2.5 weeks. I went for a message on Sunday with a seaweed detox it helped so much thanks hubby....my back was so sore from sleeping in a recliner I needed the lumps and bumps worked out. I'm glad your home and your hubby is in control. You listen to him and just don't overdue it. You will get better faster... Yes I hope they checked you for ulcers too.... Did you meet with the gyn? Neurotin will help with nerve pain, are you taking a certain amount and working up from there? They usually start you low and then increase your dosage...hang in there you will be walking your butt off soon.....feel better.... Maybe you should be? Why don't you call your MD and ask for it. I'm on it for three months. It will help. HW 250/1st Lapband 198/2nd Lapband 232/Pre conversion 2/6/13 to bypass 232. Currently 206 Bariatric GW 134, Realistic GW 150

They have to go through muscle to do the procedure. It seems that some surgeons have different techniques my surgeon cuts a major abdominal muscle on left then stitches it back together. Muscles take longer to heal any where from 6 to 8 weeks some cases. So any bending or movement aggrevates. I aggravated the muscle because I bent down to much after surgery and made agonizing pain. That pain subsided finally because I made sure I didn't overdue. No the shift offs my upper stomach fat roll us really sensitive and painful like swollen still...I just want to be pain free and start back to zumba.
  6. Just shy of a month and it was a good thing because I had that cut muscle/nerve issue and lots of horrific pain...I have a desk job but let me tell you sitting for long periods of time is a killer with pain. Surgery 2/6 back to work 3/5 half days working up to full ... I'm envious of those that breezed through. HW 250/1st Lapband 198/2nd Lapband 232/Pre conversion 2/6/13 to bypass 232. 8. Did anyone have to take at least one class before there surgery?!?!?? Jeez I know there are a bunch of "mills" out there that just do bypass and dump the patient after a year.... If you have a good surgeon and good Bariatric office you are a lifer... If you go on the Internet and read the gold standard RNY bypass you will read about drinking with meals, dumping syndrome etc... Why would anyone opt for this surgery if they are going to cheat or go against the guidelines that were specifically made for this procedure.... I have read tons of complications for this procedure in my everyday job caused by careless patients and some caused by surgery. Sorry I'm off my soap box now.... 10. The gold standard RNY bypass guidelines have always been do not drink any liquids when eating your food, defeating the purposes of getting full from eating your Protein first then veggie and fruit. You need the protein for fuel more when mealtime. You should be getting full on solid food alone and drink 60 minutes after you are done eating. Sure I don't see why not. You have to be a little forceful with them. I keep meeting people that think MD's are GOD they put there clothes on just like non medical people . Remember its called "practicing medicine", You deserve to be alleviated from your pain so call and ask for the nurse and tell her you need something stronger than Tylenol and Lortab make sure you tell them those two are not touching your pain. GOOD LUCK AND GO GET EM Ps I have worked in the medical field for more than 25 years..... HW 250/1st Lapband 198/2nd Lapband 232/Pre conversion 2/6/13 to bypass 232. Most dumping symptoms are sweats, heart palpitations, nausea and some vomiting everyone is different some people think its dumping and it just a food item that did not agree with them that moment that day. To much refined sugar is a biggy. Lots of people become lactose intolerant and can't do dairy anymore they think that is dumping too. Text book dumping is what I first wrote and there is nothing anybody can do to make it better for you it has to ride its course. try water , almond or rice milk. I couldn't tolerate shakes after bypass I had to find other ways of getting Protein in. I also had to switch to different shakes flavors that worked. Its not uncommon. HW 250/1st Lapband 198/2nd Lapband 232/Pre conversion 2/6/13 to bypass 232. Currently,206.6, Bariatric GW 134, Realistic GW 150
