The only tiny cutlery I have is a baby spoon, so don't worry, I can't do much damage.

Um I think everyone is being polite??? If someone disagrees it doesn't =rudeness. Most people agree with you. Calm down. You win

Doctors put them in different locations and even on different sides of the body. I wouldn't poke around but just ask at your follow up appt where they put it.

Be Honest- Is Banded Life Hard?

I usually have 900-1200 calories a day, postop. Your daily calorie range will vary though depending what stage you're in on your weight loss journey. I used Protein Meal Replacement shakes 4 times a day for 2 weeks preop. Then even after surgery I will still sometimes have one for Breakfast instead of eating.
-
You idiot! If you had done some research, you would know neither one of those things are approved for bandsters!
-
I found that when I buy the protein powder meal replacement and drink it with milk, I had diarrhea. So I switched to muscle milk light since its lactose free and it hasn't bothered me since. I would say maybe I'm lactose intolerant, but things like cheese and yogurt don't bother me So I dunno

Vitamin D and Calcium Supplement after being banded
wallflower replied to bar2373's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I take calcium + d 600/400mg twice a day, and Vitamin d 50,000 units once a week because I'm severely deficient They are not expensive to buy out of pocket if ur insurance won't cover. I would get it filled if I was you. -
hardest bandster rule to follow for me..
wallflower replied to gldngrrl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
The hardest thing for me to follow is taking 30 minutes to eat my meals. I seem to be unable to do this, especially at work. Sometimes I don't even get a ten minute break, let alone 30! -
do you like it in the morning, the evening or the afternoon ?
wallflower replied to gldngrrl's topic in Fitness & Exercise
I work out in the morning right after a light Breakfast. If I don't do it then, ill find excuses throughout the day. I'm not a morning person either so I set my alarm early enough for me to get up and relax a half hour before I start. I'm a nurse too, but my shifts are usually 9-10 hours and they exhaust me, so I can only imagine how hard it is for y'all to make yourself do it. My feet, legs, and back KILL me and i have to force myself to exercise. Gone are the days I volunteered for double 16 hour shifts lol. Not worth it! -
Ohhhh burrrnnn!!! I think ur a little too know-it-all, so yeah, I knew u were comin. Best wishes to you and ur tiny cutlery too

Thank you for posting this. I think I may try this starting Monday. I need to keep carbs at bay anyway

How'd I know you'd put your 2 cents in....hmmmm

Kinda hard to ignore when it's the same catty people on every thread, every day. How about u ignore the repetitive questions that annoy you instead? I have numerous questions I'd like to ask but I rarely do, because I sit there and think, "who's gonna criticize this?" And now apparently I have to also think "has this question been asked before?". Here's a heads up from miss Cleo on da free psychic line.... Dem people be askin yuh dos questions again tomorrow child. This is a Lapband forum and the questions will always be, what can I eat post op, how come I can eat more than a cup, how do I get rid of gas pains, is anyone else constipated, can I drink pop,etc......if this bothers you, you're on the wrong forum

I can't tolerate bread at all, but haven't had any trouble with rice or pasta

I know' date=' but as for me, I have yet to experience this benefit. Sometimes I'd like to be able to freely complain about it. You didn't offend me.

I have made changes al Pacino and have lost 50 pounds, off bp meds, and exercise almost every day thankyouverymuch. I'm just saying I lose exactly the same rate and the same difficulty as prelapband. People are allowed to be disappointed. Doesn't mean they're quitters. Just need encouraged by people that it will work out
-
I'm sorry, but I just need to say it. Some of you really annoy the piss out of me. The reason for the forum is so people can vent and ask questions. Not so long ago all of you were fat, and I wonder how many times you all heard " well it's common sense dear, if u want to lose weight just exercise and eat better!".... Did you all follow that common sense, and very true advice? No, you didn't! Do u want people judging you because you didn't heed that advice and instead got a foreign object In your body? If the band works quicker for you, that's great! But some people including myself are going to lose slower. I also know some of you have the band with plication..... Now did you ever stop to think its probably physically easier for you to follow the rules? I for one, know I get hungry almost every damn day and have to make myself not cheat. Maybe its because my band isn't full enough? At least thats what im hoping for. I also know I wake up 6-7 days a week and exercise my ass off for at LEAST 1 hour and my weight loss is disgustingly slow. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, and would like to ask others if their experience is similar and what I can do, but hey that'll annoy you right? My goodness, you've just heard it sooo many times before! Jerks.

Best of luck. I was really excited too. It is tough work for sure though. What an eye opener
