I have my post op tomorrow. I'm going to ask him then. I'm hoping it's not long, I may be going to Bike week in Daytona in about 3 weeks!!

On my4th day post op I took some milk of magnesia and the next morning I was able to go a little. I took another dose the next night and was able to go again. I would try something before you start hurting or get too backed! That's what I was afraid of.

Add me!! I ride a HD SOFTAIL DELUXE! Banded on 9-14 and rode the dragon tail in NC the weekend before for the first time! Great ride!! I like the biker bandits group!

Oh, BTW- we just rode the dragons tail the weekend before my surgery! I had a BLAST!!

I'm doing good, I think! I was a self pay also. I need to lose about 25-30 more pounds. I'm shocked about how some of these pts. Are eating so differently than we were told. I called on tues or wed and the nurse said that I could start the protein shakes and sf pudding. Not that I was hungry, but worried bc I'm not getting much in. I'm doing cream of and yogurt(no chunks) I'm really not hungry. Sometimes I feel miserable and I wonder if I have eaten to fast? My port is still sore so I'm very careful when I move my arm. I live in Valdosta and will have my post op on Mon. in Albany. Did he release you to exercise? I would love to reach my goal then just maintain. I was a size16, I've lost 20lbs since my seminar.

He did mine on the 14th as well! How are you doing! Have you had your post op?

Banded 9-14, everyday I think that I feel a little better then by night time I think I've over did it for the day. I feel confused about weather I'm aching b/c I'm sore or hungry or too full!! I just don't know. I only eat 2-3 oz of broth or jello or pudding at a time, 30-60 min later I try to sip on something to drink but I just can't get much down. I worry about dehydrating, not getting enough protein etc. Does anyone else feel this way?

Try the Pure Protein Shakes. Frosty Chocolate. 23 grams protein. I got mine at Winn Dixie. I'm having the same problems. I am 6 days post op.

I'm a 9-14 bandster and still just anxious about this whole thing. After some M of M I finally went to the bathroom so I feel much better about that! I'm not hungry(which is great) . I can't seem to get in 64 oz of liquids in a day. I'm assuming that this will change before my first fill. I can't imagine getting a fill and eating less than I do now!! Everyday I feel a little stronger. One day at a time is what I'm trying to focus on. I appreciate everyone's post!! I really helps me to read them Best of luck to you all!!

I'm in your boat Miranda! Today I'm thinking, something's got to change. I feel great about my weight loss and doing good with the liquids BUT, I'm not bouncing back as quickly as I expected!! I keep telling myself that it will get better, just a few more days!???‚

I'm wondering if you are eating enough protein. If you eat it first it should start filing you up. What about excercise? That can get things moving as well.

Was banded on Fri. 14 and my port incision is stinging really bad! Is this normal?

Me too! I just hope I'm getting enough not to dehydrate. I make sure to get in the Gatorade!

This is my 3rd day out also. Are you able to drink 64oz. Daily?

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one! It doesn't sting all the time, but I tried to put on my bra today and it starting stinging so bad that I got the bra off as quick as I could!

What is the heating pad for?

Under my left arm

Under my lft arm pit

The incision is under my arm. They said it will be easily irritated due to the location. This is day 3 and if anything brushes it or the area around it, it stings pretty bad. I haven't noticed any redness though.
