Fanny, I'm swooning with you. Enjoy it and quit worrying about timing. Go with your feelings,.
-
So Fanny, do tell.. when, where, how? Since I'm VERY married, I get my romantic fixes from others. *sigh*
-
I am with Apples on this one.

Nancy, I'm genuinely happy for you that you are self-aware enough to be happy in accepting yourself as you are. I struggle with accepting myself as I am (not just physically) vs. the other side which says I should continuously strive to be the best me that I can be. These are philosophies which are not necessarily contradictory but in the modern world is very difficult to balance.

I don't think anyone expects her to get WLS, it's just that she's spoken out against it and she herself clearly doesn't have the answers. She's not OK with being overweight and she's triedeverything else she can think of and yet she won't do the one thing that has helped more overweight people than all of her other attempts combined. WLS may not work for everyone but it does work for many and it certainly works better than the fad diets Oprah has tried over the years.

Lu, did we scare you off?
-
She's surrouned by enablers. Even that Dr. that comes on her show has drunk the O kool-aid. She's at a point none of the piglets suckling on the teat is willing to risk her ire by telling her the truth. Cosby needs to give her another call.

I weigh more now than I did with either pregnancy. *sigh*

Stop! Don't take another bite!

Isn't it crazy... Who'd ever thought this would happen? Scared of food... Kinda funny in a good way (I think).:tongue2: -

I was like this from the start. Maybe it was mental.. I get a tight feeling in my chest and then lose interest in eating even if I'm still hungry. My love affair with food is starting to turn into something else. Don't know what, but it doesn't feel like love anymore. -
Yowsa, you ARE hot!
-
Thank you. As I said to Lu, I showed you mine....:tongue2:

How much have you lost July Butterfllies??
Donna113 replied to lotzasunshine's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Ellen, your progress so far is phenomenal. Both before and after banding. I had my 4th fill last Tuesday for a total of 4.5 cc in 8 cc band. I can hardly eat so I'm pretty hungry. I'd rather be able to eat and be a little hungry than not be able to eat and be hungry. -
I've had a total of 4 fills. Obviously there was nothing to pull out the first fill but the 2nd and 3rd he did. On the 4th, the nurse said she didn't need to take it out and just added. Since I feel more restriction, I guess it's OK. If ever in doubt though, you should ask your doctor why he does/doesn't.

Are We ready for a Black President?

This isn't going to stop, is it? Even after the election, it's just going to go on and on and on...... -

Since I got banded on July 16, 2008, I haven't been full or stuffed. My band won't allow it. -
Poll - Democrat or Republican?
Donna113 replied to KariK's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I think this is true about certain posters on both sides of the issue on this thread as well as a couple of other political threads here. -
Just a simple question ?
Donna113 replied to TheWatcher's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
The same here EXCEPT I only have to wait 30 minutes afterwards. -

Walking helps me when I'm stuck. I haven't tried it but the nurse at my Dr's office said drink hot herbal tea. She said it would "relax" the band and allow the food to pass. I've only been stuck for a few minutes on a couple of occasions so I haven't felt the need to try that yet. If you do try it or anyone else here has, please let me know if it helps you. -
not constipated feeling, but not going either....normal or no?
Donna113 replied to Losing_It_In_Texas's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think it's a combination of a variety of factors. One as Airkuhl mentioned, less in = less out; your body is adjusting to different food, different amounts, liquids, etc. I find that if I drink a cup of Triple Leaf Detox tea every night, I go every morning. The tea isn't pleasant tasting, but it's a natural way to detoxify your body. You have to be sure to let it steep for at least 15 minutes. -
Ah. Now I don't feel so silly. There definitely is a Victoria Beckem look about it though. Maybe the hair...
-
Lu, I have to admit I didn't realize your avatar was Victoria until someone mentioned it in one of the threads a while back. I thought that was you. I showed you mine....

I used to drink 2-4 diet cokes a day and quit cold turkey when I got banded 3 months ago. I'm equally shocked that I don't miss it at all. As for the posters in the political threads, I have to admit that there are poeple on BOTH sides of the topic I find unpleasant and rabid. It is like a train wreck though, you can't help looking.

Last of 2008 Weight Loss Challenge
Donna113 replied to FeliciaLevy75's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Congrats, Sherri! WTG!!!! WOO HOO! You've lost 31.3 lbs since we started this challenge in August. I'm embarrassed to say that I've only lost a measly 5.5 lbs since August. -
those little bumps are not going away...
Donna113 replied to lpnryyz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 3 months out and those little bumps are finally flat and faded for the most part. I imagine in another month or 2 I won't even be able to see them. the other scars (port and instrument incision sites) on the other hand are still very bright red and shiny. I hope in time they will fade.
