The last sentence was TMI, but do keep us posted about the cortisol test and why you are taking it. I hear stress can increase cortisol. If your cortisol is too high, you might want to stay away from the political threads... even being a sideline observer raises my blood pressure so I had to unsubscribe to those threads.

I know I will catch a lot of flak for saying this but I think the movement you describe as Fat Acceptance is mostly comprised of people who've given up. If they could get rid of the fat, I bet they would. I don't think being fat is a character flaw. Living in denial, however, is another story.

Dr said eat anything I want! What??
Donna113 replied to karebare714's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My doctor has the same philosophy as Aubrie's doctor. That philosophy resonates with me so it's the one I follow. My weight loss so far is slower than many others I see on this site, but even with only 20 lbs down, I look at food in a completely different way and am no longer as obsessed with it as I used to be. -
how have your views changed about yourself?

Your assignment this weekend: Go get a full length mirror! 3 way if you can. -
Mine is more like skipping. I don't even realize it's happened until the next beat which makes it feel like my heart has just been shocked. The episodes I've been experiencing lately has been more like a squeezing feeling. I know I should have it checked again.

I think it's better to be a bit too loose than in the shadow of being too tight. I don't think I'm too tight now, but I'm a bit tighter than I want to be. The band sometimes loosens up a bit over time and can also tighten up a bit over time. I'm hoping my band loosens a bit.

I was diagnosed with arrhythmia 20 years ago but at that time they said there was no reason for concern and I haven't had it checked since. I continue to have episodes of it and lately they've increased in frequency. How did they treat your SVT?

Restriction is a Strange Strange Bird!

Same thing happened to me last night. -
Should I go on without ever having a fill?
Donna113 replied to shasha's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
At some point, once the swelling goes down and you are completely healed, your restriction will probably decrease significantly and you may want a fill at that time. For now, so long as you feel retricted and are happy with the rate of your weight loss, I say leave well enough alone. -
Congrats Wheetsin!

This if off topic but may I make a suggestion? Use paragraph breaks frequently in long posts. Long posts without paragraph breaks make it very difficult read.

OK, PJTP to say I think I got it. Aren't you glad there's a thread that's lets you post mindless babble?

WTF???? Someone walk me through this multi-quote process or I warn you this may happen again and again.
-
Eveidently, I don't have a clue how to multi-quote.

SNT - You've been off work since you got banded in September?
-
Where is here BrandY?
-
You're modestly endowed?
-
I drank coffee the same day after surgery. I have not modified my coffee intake at all since being banded 3 months ago and have no issues. My doctor's office says coffee and tea is fine. Obviously if coffee irritated you before surgery, it probably will continue to irritate you after surgery but if you can drink it and it doesn't cause a problem, drink up!

Good luck tomorrow Shalee!

I eat lettuce in salads all the time and have not had any trouble with it at all. I was also told that lettuce can get stuck but so far I haven't gotten stuck on lettuce. The only time I've been stuck on anything is when I forget to chew, chew, chew.

I completely get it. Wish I could talk my DH into it. He HATES to sleep alone and bitches when either one of us has to go out of town on business because he says he can't get a wink of sleep.

I have another lunch meeting today so cannot make today's 12 central chat room. Someone else will have to open the room today.

I joined weight watchers last year and in that particular group, they were dead set against WLS. I don't know if that's the case with every group but I would not want to join a group that might hold the WLS against me.

I was actually thinking last night when I was reading in bed and had all the pillows arranged EXACTLY like I liked them that it might be nice to have adjoining bedrooms.

Jacqui, I hope your DH doesn't frequent this forum. He'd be crushed. As would most DHs if they only knew... LOL
