OK, the room July Butterflies is open now.

Well, I was going to open it but it looks like they've made some changes and I don't know if I can figure out how to create a room now.

Letting you know the lunch chat "July Butterflies" is now open.

I didn't really know what restriction was like until my 4th fill. I don't know if that was the sweet spot or not but I did know that it made eating an unpleasant experience. I got my 4th fill 2 weeks ago and it seems to have loosened somewhat in the past few days. Although I still get hungry every 2 to 3 hours, when I do eat, I stop eating after about 4 ounces of solid food because anymore makes it uncomfortable. I don't necessarily feel satieted, just uncomfortable.

Your pics look great! So soon after surgery too! Do you see even more improvements in the healing now?

Another 1/2 lb... Now if I can only reach my mini goal and break 190 by the end of the month! My weight loss is agonizingly slow.... After the initial drop in the first 2 weeks, I've average 3-4 lbs per month. On a bright note, when it does go down, even by 1/2 a pound, I always feel like doing a happy dance. At least I am going down and not up. I was definitely on an upward trajectory when I got banded.

Congratulations Karen. Your journey is truly inspiring. I hope you will post some b/a pics. As you stated earlier, they are very inspirational.

I'm ready for the election to be over already! DH and I early voted yesterday. At 2:30 PM on a Saturday afternoon there was no wait at all. Took our 8 year old daughter with us to expose her to the political process now.

I know you know this, but you never go wrong if you put your child first. You don't get a do over with a child but there are plenty of fishes in the sea...

Mac, there are rabid dogs on that site on both sides of the political divide that just make me sick. I just can't go there anymore.

Don't worry, you are in what's called Bandster Hell. Bandster Hell is the period of time when the swelling from the surgery has gone down but you haven't yet had sufficient fills to get proper restriction. It may take anywhere between 3-6 fills for you to feel restriction. It took me 4 fills to feel true restriction. As for your friend who vomits at lunch on a regular basis, he's doing this because he's either too tight or he's eating too fast/too much. Gas - unfortunately increased gas seems to be the norm.

Congratulations! I'm so happy for you. Take it easy and be liberal with the drugs.

I had the underwire bra issue when I was first banded but after a couple of weeks, it didn't bother me anymore and I wear underwire for about 10 hours a day.

I'm sorry if I sounded mean earlier; I was just shocked. Anyway, don't eat or drink anything hot. You should probably just keep drinking icy cold Water. If the gum is stuck on the band, you don't want it to get hot and smear all around. I'm so sorry this happened to you. I think the doc will have to do an x-ray to see whether it's there or if it's passed through.

Their fill policy sucks! If it gets too tough and they are within driving distance, I'd just go in on the days you know the doctor is in doing fills and beg and cry. I bet that would work.
