PJTP: My DD and I had lunch with Gloucester, her DD and another friend. We had a wonderful time and it was really good to meet IRL. Glouc's so pretty and sweet. Her daughter (gorgeous and the most fantastic complexion) has the patience of a saint. We literally bored her poor DD to tears. My rude teeange son wouldn't invite her to play Wii with him.

Kids... they're still irresistable though -- especially when they're your own family. How long are you going to be in FL? They do have internet in Florida, you know.

I'm so sorry. That's really awful. It's a good thing you went to get checked out -- did they give you one of those neck braces until you could get to your doctor? Also, have you contacted an attorney about your accident? Insurance companies are notorious for not wanting to pay the full amount of all damages so it's usually a good idea to get a lawyer. BTW, the insurance is not supposed to pay off the note, it's supposed to reimburse you the actual market value.

My sis lives there. When I lived in Phoenix, I used to go down and visit her once a month. It's a beautiful place and it really has built up quite a bit over the last 10 years. BJean, I have to agree with OneHotMama on this one.

You'll be missed but I totally get being unplugged. I did that over the Christmas break and it was awesome. PJTP: DH, DD and I went on our Valentine's Date last night and had a wonderful time. DD says Daddy's her man too so it's only right she gets to go on the date too. When we got to the restaurant we had a 45 minute wait so we ordered a bottle of wine at the bar and drank that before dinner and in lieu of dessert, I had a pomegranite martini -- wait for it...when we got home I was a bit more tipsy than I thought and fell flat on my face and busted my upper lip (actually not the lip but the area between the nose and the lip). Since I was buzzing pretty good it didn't hurt much. We still played the new love songs CD DH got and danced the night away at home with our lovely DD. DS (15 yo teenage boy) opted to stay home, in the gameroom and played his new game all night. He enjoyed the leftovers from the resatuarant and giant Hershey's Kiss. We've always included our kids in our Valentine's celebrations. OK, now that I've bored you all to tears with my night, PJTP may resume it's regularly scheduled programming.

1 -2 lbs is not really a regain or even a loss -- our bodies can fluctuate 2-5 lbs. If you regain 5 lbs and it stays that way for a week or more, then that's a gain. Don't sweat 1-3 lbs in weight fluctuations.

It's a full moon, Friday the 13th? I gotta figure out a place I can go and REALLY stir up some trouble.

Beth, I'm sorry things are so rotten at work. This is usually not the type of advice I give, but given the current job market, I'd suggest you not rock the boat too much and just swallow it. Sometimes the better part of valor is discretion.

Why is everyone so incensed? C'mon peeps, let's get off the judgmental soap box. Everyone keeps saying it's my tax dollars, etc. Yes, but they aren't going to raise your tax dollars today to pay for her kids. It's also your tax dollars funding the highways, why don't you get equally incensed if that highway is in a part of town you never visit? I think "tax dollars" argument is way too weak in this case. The 6 children she has now seem to be better cared for than many children in smaller, nuclear families. Adding 8 more to the mix will undoubtedly make it more difficult but it wasn't her goal to have 8 more children, she just couldn't bring herself to selectively "abort" the other fetuses. Anyway, I doubt any of us on this board is going to be personally taking care of those children and furthermore, most of us will not see a single cent increase in our taxes as a direct result of those children.
