I have the large book, but does anyone have a small cheat sheet of what nutrition values we are to have daily after lap band? I know protein should be about 64 g, but what is all the rest, sodium, vutamins, fat, carbs, etc...There has to be a simplified chart somewhere that I can print,easy to read and post daily? Thoughts?

I first met Western Bariatrics in Reno, NV in April 2012; Dr. Watson and his staff were fantastic! I havew been rollercoaster dieting for years, trying all sorts of things but needed to move forward. I wanted to make a decision lap band vs. bypass; I chose lap band. So all the prep, insurance approval, etc. finally came. In July, I started swimming laps for two months, then took lessons and learned the right way to swim laps to benefit your cardio and physical body! So, I wanted to start a habit before surgery. After I returned from vacation in mid August, I started my four week pre op. I quit drinking alcohol cold turkey, which was very difficult as I was a social drinker, but heavy at times. I also started protein drinks, mostly Muscle Milk Light, chicken broth, string cheese, hard boiled egg, pudding and jello for four weeks; With that and swimming, when I weighed in the day of surgery, I was 36 pounds down. Dr. Watson was very pleased! My surgery was September 12th and as I write this, I am on day 10 post op. I have lost an additional 6 pounds. I have stuck to the post op diet rigid. My follow up is in a week or two as I live 4.5 hours away from my doc. I will plan on getting a fill, looking forward to solid foods soon :-) SO that is my story. I want to get healthy, stay healthy and be happy. :-)

Wierd deal, surgery on the 12 th, all is well but incisions are starting to burn hurt which I know they are healing. so I wake up in middle of night with burning/little pain, was laying wrong. Ok the pain is like incision feeling but it's 3 inches below the incision.l..I think I'm crazy, I go look in mirror. Sure enough painful part is on skin, but nothing there...only think I can think of is some nerves are messed up? Thoughts?

I'm also having incision pain. I was banded 9/12. -
My surgeon said do not pull them off regardless as each person's skin heals differently....which makes sense, so I am on day 7 they are curling, but I would recommend not pulling any off;

I am eating one a day tummies n liquid fish oil... Hair was starting but I have been on Wen for seven days. Not kidding, it is awesome, silk healthier than ever and no fallout. I was a skeptic but it is fantastic. Go to www.wenhaircare.com. Make sure you get the tea tree as it tingles n stimulates scalp. Starter kit is good deal, but you really only need conditioning shampoo...cheapest place amazon..good luck

When Having A Bad Day, How Do You Handle It?
jarchuleta replied to ☠carolinagirl☠'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Play wii. Instead if wii fit play a funny one just to get you up n laughing at funny things. Then throw fit in and do something fun that doesn't feel like excercising but you are. -
So how did you or do you gain weight back when you are banded? If you start gaining do you go in to get a fill?
