So its been 2 months since I had my band fixed but I'm sad to say I haven't had any weight loss. Im confused because I know I have at least 5cc in my band but I have no restrictions at all . I had slight restrictions before I went into surgery with the same amount of fluid. I did however manage to maintain my weight. My doctor did tell me he slightly moved my band from its original location. I feel like going backwards again. Also I have been having gas like crazy. Is it just me or am I going crazy??

I dont think so... my insurance company told me the procedure was covered if it slipped. That would horrible not to be covered

They gave me the options of removing it or replacing it. I still think the band is a great tool. If if happens again then I'll have it removed. Steroid medications usually makes a person gain weight no matter what type of medicine it is. After taking them so long your stomach can get irritated and and may swell a little. My stomach was so irritated it pushed the way band down. I wasnt in any pain until it began to twist. Just be careful of the different medications you have to take. If you have to take alot take them at separate times of the day to give your stomach a rest

So I was rushed into surgery Tuesday night because my xray showed a slipped & twisted band! Now how the hell did that happen?? Well according to my surgeon medicine can make the lapband too tight by irritating the stomach. Considering the fact that im on 2 different steroids for my asthma didn't make my situation any better. My body just didn't feel right so I went in for a check up and that's what we discovered. So back to step 1 for me. But I cant be mad because I did lose over 50 pounds. This is even more motivation for me!

Thank you!

I lost 50 so far

Just take your time and wait for results... the doctors wasn't lying when they say this will change your life. Im still adjusting to my band. Still learning how to take smaller bites lol

So its been 3 months since I been banded and I must say I'm still having problems adjusting. I had to get fluid removed today because my band was too tight and I lost 15 pounds in two weeks. At this point I really don't like eating anymore and its become a chore everyday for me. I don't know how much fluid was removed or how much is left in my band and I think it's best if I don't know. But so far 30 pounds down.. .
