Anyone tried this? Supposed to be good source of protein. I'm at goal. I eat a lowcarb style diet but would like to incorporate oatmeal for breakfast once in a while. But need protein with it. This was recommended to be able to add to that. Wondering if anyone's tried it and if it agrees with LapBand

I was banded 15 mo ago. I have reached goal 85 lbs ( although I wouldn't mind losing 3-4 more) the last few days my belly button feels "uncomfortable" i know the port is higher and to the side. I just feel like when I sit I need to unbutton top of jeans. Not pain but uncomfortable. Any thoughts? TIA

Turns out it was my port that feels funny because if its placement close to my belly button :0

I'm sorry in advance for asking because I m pretty sure there's a thread somewhere here, but I don't know how to find it . So What happened to the Lap Band Talk forum. I have it on my I phone and it won't load now. Came on my PC and it brought me here. Also, I have reached goal after having Lap Band procedure last Oct. I would like to post pics, but I don't know how to do that either. Can anyone help? I'm sorry, I am so computer illiterate. Thanks

I am one year out and have reached goal losing 85 pounds. I'm 52 years old . Though I am very happy about that, but one problem that bothers me so much is hair loss. Has anyone else experienced this. I am taking Biotin. I eat a well balanced diet in my opinion. Lots of Protein etc. I am seeing the hair loss by the day now and have probably lost 50% of my hair. That's how it feels to me anyway. I mentioned this to the dr and they told me it's common and it will grow back etc. I have had blood work done and they tell me everything is ok. I don't look like everythging is ok. I am so stressed over this. My husband found me crying in the bathroom this morning. It has robbed me of the joy I had in losing all this weight. I am hopeing the Dr is right. Any thoughts on this problem?

Thanks Judy for the encouragement. I appreciate it. I do wish that someone who has experienced the hair loss but also the growing back of hair would respond to this post too. Honestly its scarry because so far i read of others who can relate but not others who have had it get better. The dr says it will grow back etc. but does it really or is this a "down side" type if thing. Between this and hanging skin I'm really wondering if this was the right thing sometimes. Very conflicted. I'm sorry to vent. Just feeling scarred:)

i had a huge back surgery 2 years ago and then the lap band last year. Could this be the reason for the severe hair loss. And I dont mean a little thinner, I mean extremely thin. Alarmingly thin hair. Very upseting:( Would love to hear from others who had this issue but it got better. Anybody??

Had LapBand surgery last Oct I've had 3 fills and lost slow and steady for the whole year and was pretty much at goal. Now I'm struggling. I've gained 6 pounds. I've lost the feeling if control I had. I'm scarred. I don't want to gain it all back but I'm not sure if it's just head hunger. I've always wondered if i lost because of psychologically knowing there was a band or if it really kept me from physically eating too much. Lost 85. Scarred to be over filled scarred to gain . Need advice please
-
I am really struggling with deciding to get another fill or not. Reached goal after 1 yr. 84 pounds yay! But now I've gained 6. I feel hungry all the time. I've lost that "in the zone" feeling I had. But what if its head hunger. What if another fill is too much? Scarred to be over filled. But scarred to keep gaining. I've worked too hard. So frustrated. To fill or not to fill. That is the question?

One year ago next week, my life changed

I had Lap Band surgery 1 yr ago next week. I have lost 85 pounds. I'm at goal ( though i'd like to lose 5 more as a cushion) but I have to say, it was the best decision I've ever made for myself. I am off if narcotic pain medication. I'm active. I can take Zumba classes. I'm feeling great! Was it hard? Oh yeah. But so worth it. I'm 52 and my only regret is that i didnt do this 10 yrs ago!! -
I know only ya'll will understand this....

Its a supplement in addition to Protein shakes that you can take and along with good Vitamins. That should help this problem. -

I had LapBand 9 months ago. At goal. During the weightloss i stopped getting my period. Im 52 so i thought it was menopause. But its back and its really bad. Any body else experience this? Little concerned.
-
The band dr said losing the weight probably caused it to stop and when she checked me felt that my exam did not indicate i was menopausle ( the ongyn) but next day i literally got my period. Lasted 2 weeks. Now its back 3 weeks later and really heavy. Very unlike the old ones. Sorry for TMI. Just freaking out. Cant leave the house. Crazy. Maybe its just because i didnt have it for so long?
