Thank you so much for that! There has been alot going on in my life and I do feel Satan trying to steal my joy. I really needed to hear something inspirational as I go thru these things and I appreciate your support!

When I got a fill a few weeks ago I felt so good. I finally felt restriciton and immediately saw results and felt like I was flying on top of the world! Now it seems my restriction is gone as well as the wind in my sails.....i dont know what happened! Is this normal? I really dont have it to take another day off work plus borrow a car to go down for the 3 hr drive and then pay for the fill too. Any advise?

Banded, Discouraged And Lost
l.croley77 replied to ElleG's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was very discouraged. My insurance paid fir my surgery then I moved and my new insurance did nt cover the fills and on a one budget income I could not afford them. Then I buckled down and started saving for them. I just got my 3rd one a couple of weeks ago and I am finally feeling the real restriction. I know I am very close if not at my green zone, and its taken 7 cc's. I finally see my scale going backwards after almost a year of being banded. You went thru so much to get here, dont give up! 5 cc's is not alot. You should see a difference with a couple more fills -
Well, I am relatively new to this site. I got banded last year in Az but moved to Ca in Jan. My insurance covered the cost of my surgery but when I moved here I have to pay out of pocket plus take a drive down to Sacramento for my fills. Ive only recently been able to afford them. I have lost about 15 pounds so far and I think changing my eating habits is the hardest, the mental part of eating. Is anyone else from my area? I need a little support system to help me stay on track! Im glad I found this site. Also any good recipes would be greatly appreciated!

But what about the discomfort? I can literally only eat about 1/4 cup and feel pressure. Is that what its supposed to feel like?

So I went for my 3rd fill the other day. He added 1 cc and that makes 7 (the band was prefilled 2 cc's) Now its hard to eat solid food. I can eat like a few bites but it always feels like its going to get stuck so I stop. I cannot eat anything in the morning, even coffe feels like its not going down right. Thruout the day I can eat a few bites and feel full but there is an uncomfortalbe feeling there. I have lost 3 pounds in 3 days. I thought that if it was too tight I could not keep anything at all down and you have the night cough and all and thats not my situation. So how do I know if it is too tight or if that is the normal restriction I should be feeling?
