Where did you get your info, on the internet!! I work with bariatric patients who go through wls and are well educated on the types of wls. -

Easier said than done!! Why have the lap band if you have the will power to follow dr orders to the t. In sure your pcp spoke to you regarding your weight and a change in your diet. Comments like these that blow my mind, ppl so judge mental. Were are all adults and do what we please. Btw weightloss via lap band is through restriction!!! Not satiety. Pouch is a certain size and only a certain amount of food fits!! -

Surgeons dont like to mess with pts that they didnt do surgery on. I know this because i work as an rn on a surgical unit. -

It only hinders if it causes sedation. But we encourage pain meds to allow patients to walk take deep breaths in etc. -

As a clinician i would recommend ways to prevent infection, although it might not be possible. Always wash your hands and highly recommend getting the flu shot if you are not allergic to it. -

Another option would to be on medication that alllows periods 3 to 4 times a year. Also you might want to take nsaid with something like prilosec to prevent ulcer from forming.

The book I was given shows that I should be on liquids. Last week when I went to my follow ip appt my surgeon hands me a 1200 cal diet to follow which contains food. Im confused!!

When i use benadryl and it causes my chest feels tight. Benadr dries secretions.

I understand know, are you taking anything that can dry you out. For example benadryl. The steroid will def make it easier to breath.
