Highest weight 224 now between 190-195. I stand tall at 5'1 Banded 12/7/12 Feel like weightloss is very very slow but still determined to reach Goal of 150 by august 2013 and 135 maybe for the rest of my life.

Thank you for your kind words!! Yes I believe it is up to us. Everyone is different and last night I spent hrs on videos and articles about averages I know I wont fail the band! Im gonna continue to look at it as, 30 lbs down 50 to go! Instead of (Ugh Just 30?) God Bless you all!

Well Im 5'1 so if you know any woman like me 120 is ideal. But I am really shooting for 150. For instance Singer Christina Aguilera is ridiculed for being Obese... But she is 5'1 and weighs 156. Which is gorgeous to me. But no I was never shooting for 100lb weight loss. I am just trying to overcome this plateau. Fill number 4 next week!

Im upset! Pcp just told me if I wanted to lose 100 lbs I shouldn't have had the lapband! He said the common weight loss is 30 to 50 lbs! Which I have plateaued at 30lbs down!! I wish I was where you two are! You are fine and the weight loss will be slow but your doing great! I however am 6 months out and weigh exactly what I weighed 1 month out:( I have had 3 fills and I have to eat slow, I do get stuck daily if I don't chew slow enough and I can go almost 5 hrs with no hunger and still just plateau. I have increased my Water and my exercise inches lost I do see but that scale isnt changing. Keep up the good job ladies! Your not in Bandster Hell

Make sure you tell anesthesiologist if u are sensitive to anesthesia... I am and when I had my gallbladder removed i failed to mention. so after surgery and the days that followed I vomited violently! When I got to my lap band Day, i was sure to express my fear of vomiting and the anesthesiologist, gave me the good stuff and I didn't get sick at all! Good Luck and God bless!

I too am frustrated and will be getting my 4 th fill. 6 months out and I am just maintaining. I am walking 5 nights a week. I have cut almost everything out and even do small protein for breakfast, veggies for lunch and protein for dinner. No bread, carbs nor carbonated sodas of any kind. When I told my surgeon Im working out he said with this surgery its not necessary. Making me feel even more like a failure. I don't want to go out or be seen since I am 6 months out and only 27 down. I finally took a stand last month and told him I am paying $1000's to lose weight and I really need this to work.

I have had PCOS and been on Metformin to stabilize my erratic insulin. The difference My surgeon says between me and a regular Bandster is my body turns everything to sugar. My cycle indeed is more regular but I will tell you I yoyo more Now than I have ever in the past. It's been on the more difficult side for me but everyone is different. I have to try to grab something quick and today was my first day with oatmeal and all was good until my first bite of my small lunch at noon which was just roast. I got STUCK!!! For 30 mins! Love oatmeal but will continue to tread with caution. That was at 6 am I haven't been able to get anything down since

Im a sucker for being wined and dined! I started to feel like hey, if I have a salad Im good... BEWARE! Some salads are 800 calories. So generally you'd have to measure and eat 1/4 of it. I do like the 6oz steak no sides. I have an extremely busy schedule and stressful at that but being 30 and dating a 26 yr old is tough. He is a pig! And super fit by Birth! So I get a lil jealous but I wont get caught up in his careless Eating habits. My fitness app has nearly every item you might find yourself eating out. Kids meals generally with no fries or opt for the steamed veggies.

Had a salad with grilled chicken and 2 hrs later craved 1/4 cup of cereal with low fat milk.. The cravings are intense during my Monthly visitor

I think I would chose the sleeve over lap band since there is no monthly cost and lap band fills are expensive I am noticing.

I was banded 12/07/12 I am down almost 30 lbs but I feel like I am losing the same 5 lbs monthly. Nearly 6 months out and have only had 3 fills. Glad my insurance company approved 3 more fills. I have no trouble eating and I count calories and believe me watch every single one and stress over every bite! I force myself to eat sometimes because I don't feel hungry for sometimes 6 hrs. Im not a snacker and I only eat when my stomach is growling. I am feeling very discouraged and am trying to stay positive. Sweet Jesus I pray this works!

I'm out of surgery 5 months and may need to leave my Job and I will lose my insurance. I want this to be successful!!! Anyone know approximately the monthly cost?

Thank you! Im just hoping this will work for me for the long run. Since my insurance has to approve my fills. Just got approved for 3 more.

Has anyone who has ha the surgery changed insurance due to job change? If soo how is the transition to a new insurance company going to affect the fill process.. ? I am soo lost but hate my current job the stress is killing me and Im now not losing any weight! Ive only had 3 fills since I was banded in dec 2012 and Im only down 28lbs. But my current job and my surgeons office schedule almost seem impossible for me to go in monthly. I am fighting for FMLA so I can have the freedom to visit my doc an not lose my job. But I might lose

I have had a nice Pair since I was 13yrs old. Now with the band I am losing them ... I Soo want what I read was an increase and a Lift..called Permanent Bra! Its amazing!!

Yes I agree! My daughter says Mom, here drink something. I have to reject any help and just walk around. Its very true once stuck liquid even saliva almost over flows and comes right back up. Causing mote intense pressure.
