It has officially been six months since my surgery And I have yet to Feel restriction I thought it was because they were only giving me .1 mL every time I went in But on this last bill I talked her into giving me a half a cc She looked astonished and said it would not take it all Which is weird because I only should have 4 mL in my 10 Cc band. So she decided to check to see how much fluid was in there and she could not get anything out. Acted like that was normal and sent me on my way. That does not seem normal to me especially since I am not feeling any restriction . Has anyone ever came across this problem?

Thank you guys! Come to find out the nurse was hit and miss its a long story but they finally actually located my port which apparently is in a tuff spot or turned or something and gave me a good fill! I now have 6.5 cc in my 10 cc band and for my first time ever I feel totally restricted it was a long 5 months of no loosing but I am already making up for it! Since the fill I have lost 6 lb which was 3 days ago! So excited! Did anyone else take this long to finally get to your sweet spot? I'm curious?

Thank u guys I went in for another fill and the ma couldn't even locate my port so they called the doctor down to the office I was at and he found it right away and only pulled out 1 cc which according to the chart I should have had a little over 5. He put 4 more cc and I wonder if there could be a leak or If the ma just was never in and injecting it into my body. I'm still a little puzzled but I think I'm going somewhere else for my fills from now on. I have to stick with true results but I'm going to Phoenix instead of tucson.

the second fill that i got the doctor assured me that it would be enough to give me that full feeling and satisfy my hunger. well it did not and i feel like i havent even had anything done. am i still in what they call lapband hell because i havent lost any weight in 2 weeks and i feel myself slipping into my old habbits. how do you get through this... down 30 lb but only 10 lb since surgery 2 months ago. do i still have hope?

For the last 3 days I have been getting this excruciating pain in my neck and shoulder. I have now figured out that it's associated with eating. I thought maybe I was eating solids too soon so I switched to a smoothie and 1 min in I could barely stand the pain? Does anyone know if this is temporary or something I just have to deal with? It hurt so bad I cried and I can handle pain... I have to work today so I am so scared to even eat anything.

This helps me feel so much better and actually I was doing really good with liquids and the I went out of town and with lack of planning I messed up a little but I'm back home now and back to liquids ! I really appreciate your replies at least I know now that it's normal and does go away!

Smart decision to stay an extra day! I am now 8 days post op and I have had a good experience as well . I was shopping in the mall 3 hours after being released and the most pain I have experienced so far is left shoulder and neck from the gas but rubbing it and adding a heat pad helped! Today I am taking my daughter to Justin Bieber! You will do great as long as your attitude allows it! Mind over matter! Good luck!

Congrats! I'm so excited for you! I am 7 days post op so far and I feel great! Today was the first day I didn't feel like I needed the pain Meds and the gas in my left shoulder is better too! Don't sweat it ! I feel better now than I did getting my wisdom teeth removed! Good luck and word of advice dong weigh yourself for at least a week! Let your fluids come out and the gass get released and your swelling go down! I made the mistake and noticed I gained 4 lb but now I'm finally down!

I am in safford az! Just got banded 9/21/12. Feeling great , just wondering when I'm going to lose weight? I'm still swollen and full of gas but I need some loss on my scales to help me know I made the right choice! I hear of people down like 10-16 lb already and I gained a lb. grrrr I'm impatient !

Ok I am 4 days post op and I just started feeling really bad pain in my neck and like down through my heart, it feels worse when I drink anything almost like what I would think a heart attack feels like... Anyone know if thats ok? My tummy doesn't even hurt compared to this pain and I have shortness of breath. Probly just gass but I haven't heard anyone complain about their heart

I have major heartburn problems and so I said I was going to get a hatial hernia repair ... It wasn't a lie. They don't need to know the rest!

K so I think I read somewhere not to weigh myself for a while after surgery? Well I couldn't help it. I had surgery 48 hours ago and all I have had is a few cups of chicken broth and some water but yet I have actually gained 2 lb..., does anyone know if that's normal ? Maybe swelling or the gas or something? I'm just so worried I'm going to be one of those that gains weight.

Ok thank you guys! I will resist the temptation to weigh myself for a few weeks! Just had to make sure it was normal as I was not warned about that!

How did everyone do? How is everyone feeling? Are you guys telling your friends and all your family what your doing? I'm only telling a select few wich is hard for me so it helps a lot to hear your stories and experiences because then I have you guys and I can surprise everyone else! Lol

Oh yeah and if you have lost weight your liver should have shrunk. I lost 14 lb and 4% body fat. Hope this helps others as much as other posts really helped me and got me to o day!

I don't know what your eating to cheat but on one day due to lack of planning and a camping trip I ate 3 small protein meals and on the next day I had a salad with ranch so I think as long as you stick to it as close as you can you should bf fine.... I think what saved me ws I read that a lot of doctors only do a 48 hour liquid diet so I really concentrated on doing good the last 3 days and things went good!

I had surgery this morning. I was on a 2 week diet with 2 protein shakes under 3 carbs and 1 healthy meal of day that consisted of one small protein and as many green veggies as I wanted. I have to admit I cheated a little but the doctor told me my liver looked perfect! Then post op 48 hrs clear liquids and a small cup of broth and a tiny bit of apple juice fills me up! So hang in there and good luck!

Question!: I'm 7 days away from surgery and I got an email today stating that my white blood count is high and they need me to go get my labs redone a few days before surgery. Well I read the email to late and now I have to wait till Monday to find out what that means. Does anyone know if this can postpone surgery?
