    Welcome!

Hi Everyone! I was banded on Sept 18 and the first week, I lost 11.2lbs. I can eat soft foods on Tuesday (that will be two weeks from surgery) and I'm ready! I'm over liquids and protein shakes! I'm ready to feel like I have more energy and like myself! Good luck to everyone. I enjoy your reading your posts!

    September 29

It's been a while since I posted...from the Monday before my surgey to the Monday after, I lost 11.2lbs. It's been harder than I thought only having liquids...I've realized I do not like protein shakes! I'm just ready to have soft foods, and feel like I have the energy to start exercising and being me again. I just didn't react well to the anesthesia, plus having the hernia repaired, plus going back to work this week...I think I've used all of my energy! Next week is a new week, and I'm ready to conquer it. My plan is to rest this weekend and feel even stronger.

    September 19...

Banded yesterday...no pain at all. I had a bad reaction to the anesthesia and had a hard time waking up, but other than that...feeling fine! Bring on the liquids!

    September 18...today Is The Day!

It is now 6am and I have to be at the hospital at 8, banding at 9:30! I'm extremely nervous...I hate pain, hospitals, the whole thing. I know, however, the end result is my target. Losing 100lbs., not freeing tired when I walk, living healthier, looking better! Good luck to those other folks being banded today!

Omg! I can't believe my surgery is this close! I'm a little nervous about the pain and/or discomfort from the surgery, but reading what other people have gone through helps! I have put index cards on my mirrors that say "I'm worthy of being healthy", "I'm not addicted to food", "today is a new day". It has helped me to read those often to change the negative thoughts that I have into positive ones! We are all worthy of being healthy and happy!

Exactly! None of us need food or drink to be happy!

    September 12...

Today was better...I have not had a Coke for 10 days. I'm drinking only tea, milk, and water. I'm feeling good about that. I can definitely tell the difference in my body...I think I'm more hydrated and don't feel so bloated. Tomorrow is another day to keep it up...more thin thoughts!

    Sept 11...

Today was hard...I wanted to eat like crazy today. Why? I have no idea...I'm not extra hungry or anything, just pictured eating all day long. I fought it and didn't give in...I didn't do it. Maybe because this is my last week...my nerves are shot, getting anxious! Still happy with my decision to be banded next week!

    Sept 10...

I had my pre-op today...everything went well. First, at the doctor's office, I had to blow 3 times in a tube to measure the air in my lungs. Then, I met with the doctor and went over everything. He's super nice! Then, the nurse took my before pictures! After that appointment, I went to the hospital for my pre-op. the nurse took 2 tubes of blood, blood pressure, height, weight, and went over paperwork and consent forms. Everything is all set...next Tuesday is the BIG day!

    Sept 10...tomorrow Is Pre-Op Day!

OMG! I can't believe tomorrow is my pre-op day with my doctor and at the hospital! Now, it's starting to feel more real...my life is changing!
  11. Hi Everyone! This is my first blog post and I just joined the site...I'm having surgery on Sept 18 and am feeling mixed emotions about it. Mainly all positive, but a few scary thoughts from time to time. Any words of advice? Things you already banded folks you would do differently? Thanks!
