Had my 1st fill yesterday and was given 5ccs and I feel no different, food and water go down the same way as if I didn't have the band. No restriction whatsoever.

Went yesterday to the dr and was given another 4ccs, this time I feel restriction...I go back in 4 weeks for another fill. -

The band is 11ccs but the dr said she has gone up to 13ccs if needed. -
Had my 1st fill last week which was 3 weeks post op. The dr put in 5ccs but as the days went on, I noticed no changes on the way I felt. I called the dr last Friday and was asked to come in today. The dr stated there was fluid in the port but said the opening was still to wide so she injected another 4ccs and now I can feel the restriction. I'm a happy bandster!!!

Everyones body is different. I got my 1st fill last Monday and was given 5ccs, I felt nothing so the dr asked me to come back today and was given another 4ccs, now I can feel a difference. I had surgery done 9/4, it hasn't ever been a month yet and I am up to 9ccs and I'm feel just fine. No complains! -
How many weeks after surgery was your 1st fill???

I had 5ccs put in last week and don't feel any different. I called the dr and go back tomorrow morning to check up on it.

My 1st fill was 5ccs and feels no different. -
Hey guys, I was banded 9/4. My 1st dr. Appt was 8 days post op and lost a total of 14 pounds. It was just a follow up appt. so no fill was done. I'm beginning to notice that I am getting hungrier as the days go on. My 1st fill is scheduled for 9/24, I'm wondering if I request a fill sooner would they do it. I know all I can do is ask. Have anyone of you asked for a fill sooner and was approved for it?

I go back in 4 weeks, but the max my band can take is 9ccs so I am hoping to get some restriction soon. -

It doesn't even do that, I am hungry all the time and could eat alot more but I control my portion sizes, after 30 minutes or so I am hungry again. -
Humm, not sure but I guess the dr wouldn't do them if it was. The band can only so much so their will have to be a stopping point. Most of all if you feel fine then it should be ok. I got 5ccs today for my 1st fill and my band can hold a max of 9ccs, go back in 4 weeks for another fill but will probably be 1cc or so.

Yes, caught a bacteria infection at the port site but under the skin so there was nothing I could do. I got my 1st fill today and realized there was still some drainage but the dr said that will dry up on it's own. -
Also have an appt for 4 weeks later to get another fill...

I was banded 9/4 and got my 1st fill today, so its been about 3 weeks. I got 5ccs put in with no problem, I didn't feel anything, not even the needle.

Had the lap band 9/4, caught a bacteria infection 9/6, no fever or pain, just that I could see the infection speeding and was red and swollen. Hospitalized 5 days later to be put on antibiotics, everything is now cleared up. I'm good to go, got 5ccs filled in today. -

The 1st week I felt restriction but that was because I was swollen from the surgery, after that it felt like there was no band. I was so hungry all the time and was able to eat the same way I did before the surgery. I asked the dr and she said surgery was to place the band, it had no fill. I think that may be the same with you, surgery is just to place the band, then 2-4 weeks you get a fill, at least that is what my dr did. -

You're right some people just don't understand. All I know, is that I needed this for my own health. The weight i have lost so far has boosted my energy and can't wait for all the other health issues to get back in control. -

Well I had my 1st fill today...5ccs=success. I felt no pain and didn't even feel the needle go in. -
I got banded 9/4 and of course lost weight. I lost 14 pounds in eight days. I started working out but realize I am hungry all the time and grazing food here and there. It feels like no band was ever placed. I think I am going back to my liquid diet until I get my 1st fill. What to do, what to do....I did call for a fill but they only do them on Monday and were all booked up. My appt is for 9/24 for my 1st fill.

I lost 14 pounds the gained 5 back but now I have 5ccs so it's going to be alot better...how did your fill go??....I felt no pain whatsoever, I didn't even feel the needle go in.
