I have heard there is a liquid form of protien that you take in one shot and it gives you all you need for the whole day. Does anyone know what it's called or where to buy it?

I'm 5 days out of surgery, down 9.5 pounds, and feeling great. The only problem I'm having is going to the bathroom, I feel like I really need to go but can only go a little bit. I can't eat prunes and I'm scared to try laxatives.... What can I do to be regular again?

How can I be regular again?

Thank you all for your help. I tried coffee this morning and it seemed to help, hopefully that's all it takes but I'll keep the other ideas in mind for later down the road. -
Surgery - December 27th!
Kris10b replied to stephhine's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi NVTammy, I got mine done 12/27 and I'm feeling great already. I was so nervous too I cried a lot the night before and even on the operating table before I fell asleep. My doctor told me it was fine to back out even then but I'm so glad I didn't. I did have to get one shot in the stomach but they gave me the option to get in the back of my arm instead, it was a blood thinner. I walked a few hours after surgery and actually went home the same day so I had to make myself walk as much as possible. The worst part was first waking up and of course getting in and out of bed. On the other hand, I am feeling so much better after only two days so it IS worth it! Good luck to you! -
2 Days Post Surgery and Trying to Adjust
Kris10b replied to popsicle_20721's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was sleeved on 12/27 and I went from the lap band to the sleeve too. I have been having gas pains too and my heating pad has been so much help. My doctor tried to tell me to go with the sleeve first because the band has so many problems, I'm Praying that this goes better for both of us. Good luck! I'm sure we will do great. -
Surgery - December 27th!
Kris10b replied to stephhine's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm Dec 27th too! I feel sick to my stomache every time I really think about it but I'm really excited. I'm praying for all of my follow sleevers for perfect procedures and quick recoveries. Merry Christmas and good luck! -
I am scheduled for surgery on Thursday, Dec. 27 and I am scared to death! I did my pre-op work on Friday and alked to the nurses at my hospital who told me that th sleeve is an out patient procedur and I will be sent home (depending on my pain level) about 4 hours after my surgery. Has anyone else done this? From reading on here, I though I would get a leak test the next day and then go home... I'm even more worried now, thinking I'll be on my own so soon.

I had the lap band over a year ago and lost about 70 pounds, a few months ago I started have issues and found out that my band had slipped, I had to have it emptied and have already gained back 30 pounds. My doctor wants to take it out and do the sleeve instead but I just want to get my band replaced. He thinks that's a terrible idea... Has anyone else done it? What was your experience?

A Second Band Anyone...?
Kris10b replied to Kris10b's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Judych~ My biggest symptoms when it slipped was a terrible night cough for a months (my general practice doctor was testing me for valley fever, tb, and pneumonia) and sometimes throwing things up that I ate. Floridays~ My doctor just hates the band. He tried to talk me out of it in the first place because he said that people do not lose all of their excess weight and they tend to have a lot of complications, like slips. He thinks it will just happen again. Blklab70~ Please let me know how it goes! I am so frustrated with all the weight I have gained back but I am so scared to do the sleeve. Most people I have talked to said it was much better and they are so happy that they did it but I've heard a few horror stories too. Good luck. -
I had the lap band about a year ago and lost about 70 pounds, recently the band slipped and I had to have to emptied so I have already gained back 30. My surgeon wants to take my band out and recommends the sleeve and I want to do something but I'm scared of the sleeve! I want to know what the recovery was like, how long you were off work (I'm a teacher), and if you would do it again.

Sleeve Post-Op Experiences?
Kris10b replied to Kris10b's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Thank you for all of your info! I am feeling a lot better about the sleeve. I've been so scared and was even considering re-doing my lap-band but I think the sleeve might be a better fit for me.
