  1. And I have the plication to, so include any complications there. And I was banded 9/17/12.
  2. Besides w the fill. Like with the stitches or prolapse, or stretching out your stomach? I haven't but I did something bad. (like eating a half a frozen pizza. It was cooked, but on the small side.) That day I got a feeling like having a headache in my stomach. I'm worried I messed something up but don't know if I need to call my Dr.
  3. I generally drink abt two oz of liquid after meals to wash everything down and rinse my mouth. Is doing this affecting my weight loss?
  4. Abt 15 days post op I ended up having to move. Thee move broke me and I haven't had protein shakes since oct 8. Since I ran out of protein shakes, I have put back on 5 lbs and don't know what to do other than wait til payday. I'm eating as much protein as possible, and using the snacks but I'm not getting 80 grams. I'm only getting 40-60 max. I'm scared of going bavk to the Dr and only have lost 3 lbs in a month! What can I do to start losing weight again????
  5. I'd lovve to hear tips: fills, diet, exercise, protein, calories, getting ur Dr to fill bc There's no restriction, etc.
  6. How many oz does it hold? I'm curious if all drs r the same. My weight loss manual is packed away, but I think mine holds 8 oz bc that's the size of my shakes... Plus my recommended meal is 2-4 oz meat and 1/4 a cup veggies.
  7. Just to confirm, after surgery, ur pouch holds 8 oz, right? (I'd look it up but my weight loss manual is packed.
  8. I didn't have prob w gas until post op.
  9. Ur noT doing anything wrong. It takes a week (or at least it did for me) to get used to ur new stomachs operations. I starved for three days before I drank 14 oz and was full and just drank my 8 oz after that 3 times a day and haven't been hungry since. I doubt its a recommended coursebut its what worked for me, and it only took once.

    Ouch...what Did I Do?!

I don't know what happened in ur situation, but I can say the wrong movement can make u sore easily and quickly. Mine wasn't a 47 lb dangling body, but a 38 lb kiddo climbing all over me for an hour and it took 24 hrs and a dilaudid to recover. I say take ur pills and give it a day or so. If it persists call ur drs answering service. Non wl surgeons/nurses r going to be useless bc this is such a specialized surgery/condition: go w the pros.
  11. Most of these posts have been women catfighting over definitions and who should percieve what. The purpose of this thread is for ppeople to share their REAL LIFE experiences w progressing their post op diet. It is not a recommendation to do so. It is educational for us real life people to see what happens. Thank u posters who have stayed on topic. I have yet to see a real life incident where progressing has gone wrong. Interesting. Ladies please stay on topic per thread and stop these quibbles that I keep seeing more of.
  12. Had surgery abt 11 days ago, invisions were closed using steristrips. The healing skin is SO itchy and my Dr office is closed. I know neosporin makes an anti itch formula: what were ur directions? Were u allowed to put anything on ur incisions?
  13. Nutella is the creamy goodness of peanutbutter with the taste of chocolate and hazelnut. SO good.
  14. Aww cmon ppl. It was a specific question, not an invitation to judge me. That's actually AGAINST THE RULES OF THIS WEBSITE. Please stick to the subject. I'm surely not the first. Maybe the bravest tho! (other Dr's diets would have allowed this. Thank u for ur .002 cents worth)(yes that is typed right)
  15. *has me on liquids..... Present tense. Only 10 days post op.
