in my personal experience ive never had blinding galbladder attack. ive had nasty bile burps before but they pass with antacids or pepperments. but i know 5 ppl personally who have/had lapband. each one had there galbladder removed after having lapband. Is this common? if so why dont they just take out the galbladder during surgery?? also. i have a 6 months old. i realize i cant lift her...but can i hold her ? she is active and like to play on my stomach alot and play with my face or hands. with the port would this be a no no?im so concerned cuz she is a mommas girl since i just recently went back to work. also... the nutrient class, is this one time only? i go tuesday for nutrient and the physco apt. this process is going very quickly must faster then i expected. thanks all who respond.

going to the seminar tomorrow. hope it goes by quickly its over an hours drive away for me and its late in the evening. I have a list of questions written down and im ready to go! i hope this process flies by, i see some ppl have maybe 3 weeks between the seminar and their surgery date. id love to see this done before the holidays. Im walking everyday or every other day depending on my lovely fall ga/fla might rain might not kinda weather. trying to push my limits everytime i walk. i have two young children so its kinda hard to jog and make my 3yr old keep up with me lol but im trying. i want to get into this routine now before i have surgery so it isnt a huge hurdle afterwords. my daughter and i had signs yesterday to in every room ( the bathroom, bedroom, living room, and kitchen and on doors ) saying "YOU CAN GO THIS!" "KEEP YOUR HEAD UP " "NEVER LOOK BACK" "she decorated them for me with pretty flowers and shapes when i go in for surgery ill take pictures and put them next the signs. SO MANY PPLANSSSS!! i told my husband today ( after i knocked something off a side table with my stomach" i said "ill be damn happy when my boobs stick out farther then my belly does" he thinks im a comedian . lol can someone tell me why some ppl have restrictions and other ppl dont?

Marybell replied to Beachgirl11's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
im the same way i want my husband to be proud of me and show me off. he is proud of me no matter im raising his children and keeping him satisifed in life. but i am not satisifed with myself. i hope to one day change those feeling s too -
we have it through express scripts ( my husband is a employee ) i think i could of been moving along faster by now but my doctors office is a little slow. i got a call today that they were sending my info off to the surgerons office in jax. i hope it goes fast.. from what the women on the phone told me they only require a phsych eval and for me to see a nutriantist and go to the free seminar. the only sad part is my out of pocket is 4k.

I was called today by my doctors saying the insurance has approved me the right to have surgery. YAY! I am being referred to the Baptist Center in downtown jacksonville florida ( not far from me but i am in georgia ) My big brother has worked for baptist for 5years now. I am so scared though for having surgery. I was looking around and saw the Sleeve? this is new to me. im going to discuss it with the doctor of course but it seems that the results are much more with it then the band. Plus no having to go in for a fill and feel like im chocking for the week after. the sleeve is intriging to me. I am still scared tho.... I go to sushi and in my head i know im going to get 4 rolls. 4. yes i said 4. i love sushi. But after surgery im only going to be able to get 1. and probably wont finish it. it makes me sad. But it also makes me sad that i have broke all the mirrors in my home becuz i dislike how i look. If i go to micky-ds i know im going to get two egg mcmuffins and a large drink. Do you find it easier to bring your own food with u where ever u go? Ive considered going on a liquid diet now, i nkow it will be required before surgery so in my mind if i do it now ill be more prepared for it then. Ill know what to expect. And then do soft foods for a while. Pre measuring apple sauce. or yogurts or cucuous. ect. Perhaps id loose weight and feel like i could do this. i ponder these things daily as i make myself and my kids lunches while im home. ( i dont work ) Then i wonder well how long would i do the liquid diet. How long would i last doing it? would i cheat and just feel worse? my husband says he will do it with me. I joked said "oh we will save money once i have surgery you will only have to make dinner for you the 3yr old. baby is stil on bottles. Oh here is a thought has anyone ever ate baby food? Im one of those moms who tries the food before i give it to my kid just so i can sympathize with the iccky faces se gives me lol. im excited to be on the journal even though i am terriefied on how we are going to be able to pay for it. my out of pocket cost is 4k. yes i said 4,000. four-thousand dollars! meh! depressing.
