Surgery Went Well
Vicki Loichinger replied to dejaseana's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
wonderful news. So happy the gas pain is lessening. I think I am afraid of that more than anything, I have dealt with that after other surgeries and c-sections, so I know it can be bad. I have a big smile on my face for how well you are doing. Praying for continued healing and comfort. And welcome to the beginning of the new you, -
thrilled for you, you must feel like the weight (no pun intended) of the world has been lifted off your shoulders.

grrrrrrrrrrr so very very frustrating -
NO I haven't had the RNY yet. I have a lapband (seven years) but it never helped the diabetes regardless of weight loss or eating less. So I am kinda putting all my eggs in the RNY basket that my diabetes can be greatly improved if not gone. I know it won't be GONE, but if I didn't have to take massive does of insulin a day (which causes my body to hurt so bad) I would be happy. I run in the high 200's even on 300 units a day. Then out of no where I will crash to 50, not a good way to live at all. As a lot of us know,

One Day Post Op
Vicki Loichinger replied to roxyraquel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sending you some healing and positive thoughts and praying for comfort. I hope this passes quickly. Vent away. -
Glad you are losing again. Unfortunately you will have these stalls and then loses. Just your body catching up with itself and getting used to the loses. Just keep doing what you are doing and you will continue to lose. Probably not as quickly as you did in the beginning, But don't doubt yourself or get discouraged. Remember how great you feel today when this happens again and rest assured you are going to succeed.

So Irritated...
Vicki Loichinger replied to sunshine413's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
seems like we always have to do things twice to get things done. I am just so tired. And I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I will bounce back with some hope tomorrow. Tonight I am aggravated. lol -
So Irritated...
Vicki Loichinger replied to sunshine413's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I got a similar letter today saying they needed more information, information I know is in the file. So I too am on hold until I can figure out what they want and probably go and get it myself and hand deliver it to the surgeons office. I thought I had supplied them with everything, somebody along the way has dropped the ball, probably a record was not received or it wasn't worded correctly so the hoops continue, I am so frustrated IF I COULD JUMP THROUGH HOOPS (literally).I would be in better health and wouldn't need the surgery, lol. got to find some humor in this somewhere. -

I received a letter today stating that my approval was on hold that they needed more information of my health status. listed some things they need, things i was sure had been gathered. Cyn this is probably the same situation you are in. We just have to jump through some more hoops and make sure they have what they need. I am just telling myself it didn't say NO, so there is Hope. And I am clinging to that hope. They do not make it easy that is for sure. -
that is great. Something I can't even imagine being able to do. So happy for you and I know your Kids are thrilled too,

fantastic news.

welcome and I know your wife is going to be a great help to you. I am sure you have learned a lot going through her surgery with her. Now it is your turn. Like you I want the medical benefits more than anything else. My type 2 diabetes is so uncontrolled. I take massive amounts of insulin daily and it is still hard to control. Hoping this surgery will help. Don't stay to far in the back of the room. You never know who just might need to hear something you have to ssy.

Trying To Stay Positive During An Emotional Crisis :'(
Vicki Loichinger replied to sharoncarrie's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
sharon you can do this. I know all you want to do is curl up in a ball and cry your heart out. Give yourself a bit of time to hurt then hop back up and remember why you are doing this and think of all the positives. I know easier said then done, But you will come out the better for it. Surround yourself with people who support and love you and take this time for you. I am sending you positive thoughts, and prayers for strength and healing. We are here for you anytime. -
Antti Depressants
Vicki Loichinger replied to krystacoyle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You might try holding the capsule in your mouth for just a little bit so that it starts to soften, You may get a bit of the medicine taste in your mouth but not as bad as opening it and eating it was. I have avoided swallowing pills ever since I was banded seven years ago. Some I open up into crystal light and take an ounce of liguid with the medicine inside the caps. some I hold in my mouth for a bit. And for antibiotics I always ask for liquid. I feel like a little kid sometimes taking my PINK antibiotic. but oh well. Right now I have an abscessed tooth and I had the dentist give me liquid keflex, they had no problem. They just have to figure out the right dosing for an adult. -

Got A Call Yesterday To Change My Surgery Date
Vicki Loichinger replied to cookier224's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
what a great phone call to get. When you heard them say change the date you probably thought for a second that they were going to make it further not sooner. Nice surprise.
