You just would want to cool to under 130 before you add the protein otherwise the texture will not be good, But try it, I have been using the instant sf ff instant pudding and stirring or blending it into yogurt and it is awesome. The other night I put about half cup of low fat cottage cheese, vanilla yogurt, and maybe third of the pack of pistachio pudding mix, added a splash of skim milk, scoop of unflavored protein powder. blended it and it tasted like a decadent desert. I am pre op so I may hate this after surgery, but for right now it is helping me get my body ready for surgery. and just trying different things

4 Months Old Post Op Vacation
Vicki Loichinger replied to disneynut02's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
GLad you are having a good time. Just be careful, a taste here and there. But you don't want to pick up any bad habits that you have fought so hard to leave behind. But it sure sounds like you are enjoying yourself. And being so active is fantastic. Congrats on the pounds lost. -
That is so awesome. So happy for you. If I wasn't freezing I would do a happy dance for you. Ok doing one here in my chair under the covers. BRR it is cold and damp here in Indy this morning. Wishing you the best with much continued success.

Welcome and fingers crossed you can get that November date. -
awesome, pick up your daughter, carry her a few steps (if she will let you) sit her down and then realize that is what you have been carrying around for so long. Isn't that something. So happy for your progress

I just got a call from Nutritionist that I have to start a two week pre op diet on the 24th. It is two shakes a day and then protein and non starch vege dinner. And then day before surgery clear liguids. I do the pre op stuff on the 29th and 31st with surgery on November 7. Good Luck to us both.

nope Mommy no one should use this against you. I am so sorry. Tell who you want to tell. Those that you don't think will be supportive and positive just don't talk about it to them. When you start losing weight and get healthier and they ask tell them you have had a Life style change. Wishing you the very best.

Ok I have you to thank for a very sore belly today LOL, I just had to look up Oxycise last night. And that lead me to several you tube videos for proper breathing and deep breathing ect. I did so many deep breaths and diaphragmatic breathing that I feel like I did a million sit ups last night. I knew your plan was good. I am still doing the deep breathing today even though it hurts a bit. But I want these lungs in top shape for surgery. And my lungs are never in top shape. Hope you are having a great day. -
Not Trying To Be A Downer But?
Vicki Loichinger replied to OleHippieGal's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Very good post, excellent questions. And I think I feel just like you do. I want to know WILL I feel better. Will I be less depressed. Will I be off insulin. When you are 57 just losing weight and buying new clothes isn't enough, matter fact isn't anything to me, I want to feel better, have more energy, live longer. Hope we get some good answers to these questions. Keeping in mind we are all different and go at different paces. But like OldHippie said DO YOU FEEL BETTER???? -
wishing you luck fatfree and crossing my fingers and toes, The waiting is the hardest part so far, But oh the joy you feel when that phone rings with and approval and a date., and Mommy327 don't let the nay sayers get you down. Some are just fearful for you and that isn't a bad thing. Some are telling you we love you no matter what. But that isn't why we are doing this. We want to be healthier, we want to be able to LOVE people and ourselves. We want to live. I know they are afraid, but if they only knew how afraid they should be for us being overweight. Very glad Hubby is on board. You don't need everyone, you need a few good ones. Sending everyone positive thoughts for today no matter what stage of the process you are in.

Playing With My Life
Vicki Loichinger replied to DLove41's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I really really understand what you are feeling right now, I did finally get approved, but hoops I jumped. And never felt so out of control of anything ever. They do have all the power, But sounds to me you have the reasons one would need for this surgery. Praying that you get approved quickly and you can get your life back. I want mine back too. Just wanted you to know that I truly understand how you are feeling. Please try to replace that feeling with HOPE. HOPE the most powerful thing there is to me. and I have HOPE for us all. -

Vicki Loichinger replied to Kathy's New Life's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Welcome. The three months will go by faster than you can imagine and it is a good time to start some new and lifetime changes and habits. I started taking vitamins regularly for one thing. The nutritionist will want food logs, and writing down what you eat and how much, does give you pause to what you are putting into your body. I had the band seven years ago. I never lost more than about 30 pounds and have gained that and more back and forth back and forth, Now I am at the same weight as then. And none of my medical problems were every helped. I am having a revision from band to RNY on November 7. I wish I had done this in the first place, but like your family I thought it was to drastic but it is what i needed. So now I will do what I should have done and hopefully add some good years to my life. Wishing you the best and so glad you are here. -
So Disappointed :-/
Vicki Loichinger replied to lovelygirl01's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lovely that could be some good old muscle weight. Or one good pooh and it will be gone. Don't be a slave to the scale. Do you feel better? Are your clothes looser? Do you have more energy? the weight will come off. Don't get on that scale for a few days if you can help it and by the end of the week you may be pleasantly surprised. -
Please Don't Judge
Vicki Loichinger replied to tinabree's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No judging here, just don't let it derail you, don't dwell on it, move on, tomorrow is another day. You are human after all. I just think we have to not have the old mindset of "i blew it, I might as well do it some more" nope we can't do that. It will happen again. But again don't let it get you so down on yourself. Sending you so much positive thoughts.
