Vitamins Question
Vicki Loichinger replied to eeyoregirl1970A's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i think of all the things the vitamins have me most concerned. I ordered them and set them all out in what I thought was a huge pill container, bright pink with cancer awareness ribbons. and I still need more room. But I am making sure by the end of the day that little box is empty. spacing the multi and the calcium out. not taking a separate iron yet till after the doc tells me to post op. But knowing what to take and when and how much, I know they tell you this, buy it seems overwhelming. We can do this though, I know we can. -
welcome and that is wonderful numbers. You have worked hard. You are an inspiration. Thanks for sharing.

well that is a relief about the pschy thing. But I couldn't imagine them letting you get this far if you needed it. And it turns out you already had. I hope you have a good weekend. And that Tuesday comes quickly for you and you will be in my thoughts and prayers. You made me smile real big today. Cause I just know you are a bundle of nerves and I know how happy you are that nothing is standing in your way for Tuesday.

Be safe and hope you have an uneventful weekend. Try to do something fun for yourself if you can, maybe a pedicure (if the storm allows) read a good book, finish a craft project. Just something to help the weekend I will be thinking of you and praying for you on Monday. Let us know when you are up to it how you are doing.

Cooksie Call you doc and see if you can get something for the nausea. Don't suffer without checking with them. Sending you best wishes, cause nausea is the worst, I think i would almost rather have a pain of some type then that awful feeling. Please call.

Trying To Decide Btwn Rny And Vgs
Vicki Loichinger replied to DebsH's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Yes the plan is to remove the band and the RNY at the same time. I think the only thing that could change that would be if the Doc got in there and found something the band has done we aren't aware of. I sure hope not. But I am having the barium swallow test on Wednesday so maybe that would show if there was something wrong. Just crossing my fingers that I don't wake up with no band and no RNY. -
Incontinence
Vicki Loichinger replied to OleHippieGal's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I think the same will be for me. It might have been weight a long time ago, now I think it is just age. They don't have a surgery for this age thing, lol. -
Congrats. And yes I think it does take a while to sink in Worm. I am still kinda pinching myself. It is like I will believe it when I wake up in the recovery room or something.

Incontinence
Vicki Loichinger replied to OleHippieGal's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
now this would be a perk i wasn't even expecting. I have been wearing "protection" for so long, I don't think I would know how to get dressed without adding a pad to my underwear. Cough, sneeze, laugh you name it . Coughing is the worst. -
Sounds like it was a healthy taco. Were you satisfied after one? Did you feel full? How many of those would you have ate prior to surgery? Don't beat yourself up. I think you did good. Did you ever in your life (prior to surgery) think that you could eat just one taco?

Trying To Decide Btwn Rny And Vgs
Vicki Loichinger replied to DebsH's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Deb I have had the lap band for seven years it has never helped my diabetes, I would just lose gain lose gain the same 30 pounds I am having a revision on Nov 7 to RNY, my decision is based on the diabetic factor. I am very insulin resistant I have to take massive doses of insulin which in turns causes weight gain and inflammation through out my body. I am putting all my eggs in the RNY basket. You will find a lot of info on here, just type some search words in and you will find so much info, And everyone here is so supportive, Welcome -
somethings wrong, call the dr, NOW or go to the ER something is not right, Might not even be surgery related but running a temp is never good.

30 Days Post Op Not Feeling Well
Vicki Loichinger replied to mizzbravo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I remember years ago, and I mean many, when I was pregnant, I didn't get morning sickness (or all day sickness) as long as I had something on my stomach. I really think your suggestion is a good one. Just a little something (that is allowable of course) and maybe that could help. -
Brand New And Getting Impatient
Vicki Loichinger replied to MillyBell's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Well if that isn't just the coolest thing ever. Great phone call today. So much for impatient. I think you can handle this. I am so happy for you. -
The Break Up
Vicki Loichinger replied to TryingtobeSuperwoman's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow, Hate to hear this. I am hoping to make friends not lose any. Most of my "friends" are family. I think they are stuck with me. But I do think my poor health over the years has caused me to stay away from people and events and you do lose contact with a lot of people. I want that to change, I want to go to the things I am invited to (provided I want to, don't want to feel I HAVE to) I want to make new friends. I am hoping the same for you, I wish you the best and hope your life is filled with joy. -
You can do this and it will be worth it so worth it. One day at a time. Today is day two of the Pre Op diet for me. So far so good., Feeling a little moody but heck even with no food my blood sugar was 336 maybe that has something to do with the blues I am feeling today, Took a shot of poison or sorry insulin, so maybe parts of me will feel better and the parts that hate the insulin will hurt worse. Joys and Thrills
