Hubby Thinking Its The "easy Way"
Vicki Loichinger replied to joyaskins34's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
joy I bet he is more afraid of something happening to you or going to go wrong then anything, Maybe more than he even knows, He is lashing out and saying "easy way out" to kinda get under your skin, instead of saying he's scared. Just let him know that you love him and need his support and that he will see how hard you will be working with this. Wishing you the very best. Jny I Will be praying for you and sending you healing thoughts.for your surgery tomorrow. Nope ladies this is no way an EASY WAY OUT. -
Help, I Have Been Converted And I Need Help! Im So Confused And Need Advice
Vicki Loichinger replied to shrinkinmama's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
First of all I am pre op. so take what I say as just somebody who has gleaned info from this site. It is possible that your pouch is still a bit anesthesized and that any day now this ability you have to drink and eat so freely will kick you in the chest so to speak. Don't push it of course, as you said you weren't so that is good. But nothing may be wrong at all. Also you may have been way way more miserable then you even realized with the kinked sleeve and you have actually gotten some relief with the Rny conversion. Still take it slow, sip sip sip, take small bites, chew even the pureed foods, and eat slowly and only eat the amounts you are supposed to. You have a lot of healing going on in there. Tomorrow is Monday don't hesitate to call your docs office. They can tell you if this is ok or not. Just relax today and keep sipping and enjoy the fact that you aren't going to be dehydrated. I will be praying for you and sending you positive thoughts. -
To Tell Or Not To Tell

understand perfectly Wanda. This process is hard enough with negativity around us. Tell those who you think will support you and just "show" the rest. -
Disappointment In Someone I Thought I Could Trust
Vicki Loichinger replied to jnygrl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
yesterday one of my sisters was quizzing me about the RNY and made mention that my other sister said after I had the band I figured out how to eat mashed potatoes through a straw. That hurt. You find out this is how you have been discussed and how they think that this time probably won't "work" either. People just don't understand. So it seems it is damned if you do (successful) or damned if your don't (successful) And no I never sucked mashed potatoes through a straw. But when things would get stuck and it was hard to get things down I would revert to softer foods. I admit that. but not like they think. And yesterday my sister (after telling me this) and asking about why the RNY would work when the Lap band didn't ask me to go look at an apartment with her and her husband and she knew I was on the liquid pre op diet, and had her husband drive through White castle cause she was starving, No I didn't get anything, BUt they really have no clue. They could have drove me straight home five more mins away and then went to white castle. Just don't understand. -

Tmi
Vicki Loichinger replied to droppingitlikeitshot75's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Awesome. Not TMI at all, this is something I think everybody deals with. I do now even pre op. I have had days that I was super excited to have a good BM. You are doing great. I am so happy for you. Keep on doing what you are doing cause you are making this work for you. Sending you continued healing thoughts and prayers. Gentle Hugs -
Chest And Back Pain
Vicki Loichinger replied to Falicia004's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is defiantly something to talk to your doc about. I don't think we are supposed to take Ibuprofen after surgery for pain, so that could be making the matter even worse. Tylenol is the over the counter med for pain. It does sound like it is gas or indigestion or something but your doc can give you something for that,. I sure hope we can take ambien after surgery because I have horrible insomnia and I depend on the ambien nightly. And even with it it takes several hours to go to sleep and I don't sleep for very many hours. Hope You find out what is wrong, I have had that feeling with the band and I know it is miserable. -
welcome and congrats. How is it going?
-
Welcome sounds like you are off to a great start and having your partner with you sure helps. This is a great place for support and information. Feel free to ramble whenever you want, I just finished day four of my pre op diet. I am not hungry but I am kinda down in the dumps and edgy. My family is going to be ready for me to be in the hospital for a few days they need the break from this moody lady.

Thank you that was a very encouraging post. My asthma is so bad I am afraid they will cancel the surgery. I have had three breathing treatments today. You have done so well. Again thank you so much for sharing.

Vicki Loichinger posted a topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Just got the call from Weight Loss Center. Insurance has approved my revision from band to RNY. Don't have a date yet. That call may come on Monday. But just knowing it is approved and it will happen is enough for today. I am feeling every emotion there is. Mostly good. I am ready for this. Thanks to all those who have been pulling for me. Your support is more than you will ever know. Hugs -
