Im Not Telling!
Vicki Loichinger replied to connie3's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My Mom passed this past Christmas but I am telling you I wouldn't have wanted to tell her. She was the perfect person to make everything about her. She would have drove me nuts. And it is kind of sad cause you know when you are sick and not feeling good sometimes you want your "mommy" and that was always sad that I couldn't depend on her for "ME" I always had to protect her from worrying or protect myself from her . Very hard to explain, And even now waiting to have the revision from the band to the RNY, you hate to talk about it to people, cause they say things like "you had that there band thing and that didn't work did it?" ya da ya da ya da. Tell those that you know will support you and be there to put a cool cloth on your head that is what you need. -
anyplace will have it. I had my husband get me some at Kroger last night. I have had a heck of a time going poo, and I am still pre op. I so dread constipation after surgery. Good luck, wishing you the best,

I Am Almost 6 Yrs Out But In Pre Op Because...
Vicki Loichinger replied to BelladonnaJD's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
my two week pre op is a protein shake for breakfast and lunch and a lite dinner no starch, like a meat and non starchy vegetable (basically low carb) and then just clear liquids day before. Amazing the journey you have had and we sure are glad to have you join us as you continue. You have knowledge that we all will need. And you will get so much support here, Welcome -
Ab, first of all welcome, so glad you found us. You will find so much support and information here, You will have hoops to jump through like most of us, some have more, some less, but just keep your eye on the prize (your health) and go through what they ask of you. It takes so perseverance and patience. But you already know that having a special needs child. You have jumped through many hoops for your child to get the care and therapy they need. Now it is time for you to put all that knowledge to work for you to get through the requirements. My prayers are with you and I hope the process is quick so that you can get healthy for your family and for yourself, Big Hugs and the best of wishes, You can do this, One step at a time.

Awesome decision. Such success with the band, and the RNY will help you get to your goal. I am having the revision on Dec. 5. I did not have the success you did with the band, but I am ready for this new journey. Welcome and congrats, Stay in touch and let us know how things are going, -
Seven years ago when I was banded, I was the biggest diet pepsi holic in the world. Hubby is sure the pepsi stock went down when I quit drinking it. I was a two fister, had my son bring me two one for now and one to be at the ready when the first one was done. Gave it up and never went back. Even without restriction in my band I just don't do it, And now that I am going to be revised from band to RNY I am glad that is something I have already conquered. Crystal light is my go to. because I just can't drink plain water, it strangles me, so I drink 2 qrts of crystal light a day at least,

6Ounces Of Yogurt
Vicki Loichinger replied to eeyoregirl1970's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't know about the amount, but don't you love adding the protein in the yogurt and eating it in place of drinking a shake? -
Just throwing this out there, wonder if an Ice tea maker might make a better brew. I know what you mean about making it at home. Or if you try another sweetener like the truvia.
-
Melonpie where is the blockage? sure hope they get you fixed up. Worrying about you girl. Let us know as soon as you feel up to it. Hugs

Omg It Just Became Real! This Is Happening.
Vicki Loichinger replied to Miris's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your emotions are all over the place and they probably will be for a couple of days. And then a calmness will come and that is when you will know you have made a very good decision. Just remember all the reasons you wanted to have the surgery, remember all the things you want to GAIN as you LOSE the extra weight. Do something special for yourself if you can, go to a movie, finish a craft project Go get a mani/pedi. This is real and I know it is hitting you hard. But we are here for you and we are going to help you get through this. Big Hugs -
you can add me if you make one vicki loichinger the pic is the same as the one on here DONATE LIFE
