Well i stood up to the bad nurse

glad you called, glad they are paying attention. Hope the meds help, and I have to agree probiotics would probably be a good idea too but ask the pharmacist or doc to make sure it won't interfer with the new antibiotic.

    Curious~

IT could be just the date the surgeon gave them . I guess they have to give a date of some kind. But most likely they have looked ahead and seen if insurance is approved that would be an opening for Surgeon to do it. You just won't know till insurance approves and they actually set a date. I know seeing a date of any kind gave me hope. So I know what you are feeling and that you want to know.
  3. Oh my goodness I am so sorry this happened this way. I was afraid the same thing would happen to me. And I can't figure out how it didn't I had my band for seven years I seriously thought they would get in there and just remove the band but they were able to do both and remove an ovary to boot.. You are in my thoughts cause I know you are devastated right now.

    surgery date!

Congrats and good luck. Yes this is a rough time of year to be on any restrictive diet. But you can do it.. Just plan ahead. Maybe eat something you can have before you go to the different gatherings so you aren't so hungry. One thing for sure these next couple of weeks are going to fly for you because of so many things going on. Sending you big hugs.

    Medication

I do not work outside the home, so I have the luxury of making it my daily mission to get my regular meds, vitamins, protein supplements in and testing blood sugars, giving insulin if needed, taking breathing treatments and eat three 2 oz meals. I can not imagine having to try to get this figured out and go back to work. Please everyone who is newly pre op and have a few days (hopefully) weeks get a schedule figured out to get all this in. Because it is a full time job. And it will take planning. You will have to have what you need available and you will have to know when to take what and what to take with what and what meds can be crushed some not. on and on and on. Wishing everyone the very best. Easy way out, by butt, I think I would literally slap someone if they said that to me today, one week post op.

    Sugar Free Baked Egg Custard

me too one of my all time favorites custard pudding. that would really hit the spot right now if it was made with stuff we can have. Also might be something to take a portion of to these gatherings a lot of us are facing and we have our own little desert.

    December 2012 Post Op Group

Redo can you lay on your left side at all. if you can lay on your left side with left leg straight and right leg bent, that has helped me in past operations. A forever ago maternity nurse told me that trick, after a c-section and it has served me well...Old Broad new what she was talking about. lol

    Medication

I have never tolerated meds on an empty stomach ever. And now with having to not drink before after and during meals makes it rough. You might try taking them 30 mins after you eat and your pouch should still have something in it. Or take them with your protein shake that way you aren't just hitting that pouch with meds and water. Like I said I didn't like to take meds ever on an empty stomach. Hope this helps.

    Feeling some kind of way

I defiantly understand what you mean. My belly is still so swollen or something. I am going with swollen, lol. I have only lost a couple of pounds since surgery last Wednesday, but I didn't really expect to lose that. I am just giving myself the time to heal. Trying so hard to get fluids in and protein in and even started back on some Vitamins. Day by Day trying to do better about those things. But it will be nice to lose some of this belly.

    Annoyed..:/

The one I went to last month was on Aroma Therapy. Thought I would have an asthma attack before the evening was over. So I truly understand how you feel. I have really like the meetings where post ops spoke about their experiences and answered questions. That is one thing that makes this site so valuable. We sure give each other a lot of support and we need each other. And it would be so nice to get the same face to face.

    shoulder gas pains yikes

Walking is probably the most helpful. The gas x strips that melt on your tongue might help. Also if you can lay on your left side that sometimes helps. But moving and walking is probably the only sure thing and a bit of time.. I was very lucky this time around. With the lap band and with some other surgeries it was awful. But I didn't have the pain that goes up into your shoulder and I started passing gas pretty quickly after surgery.

    Needing Revision Surgery

You are in my prayers. I am so glad you are able to get the revision. I am doing pretty good really, I was in the hospital a couple more days then some but they did a lot of surgery in there so that isn't surprising. Hope today goes quickly and calmly for you. Sending you prayers and postive thoughts.
