couple of mine are starting to itch some today. Aggravating but I keep telling myself it is due to HEALING. doesn't make the itch any better but my mind likes that reason. -

So happy about the kidney function improving. I pray it continues. take good care of yourself this week. It is a bit of an adjustment not having the nurses there to do things for you.. But you will feel better every day. Gentle hugs my friend. -

Please call your Doc tomorrow no matter and tell them what happened. I literally held my breath after I read that you fell. Please take you pain medicine today but if you feel any different kind of pain then before you fell call the doc. Or even go to the ER and get checked out. Praying that everything is ok -
I sleep on my sides with the help of a body pillow. I was able to sleep on my side even in the hospital. Sure hope you can soon.

Welcome so glad you found us. We really do understand what you are going through. I think you will go through every emotion there is. That is so normal. If you weren't a bit nervous or sad or anxious then that would be something to worry about, lol, You are making a big step to a lifetime of health. You are in my thoughts and prayers for an uneventful surgery and quick recovery. Please let us know when you can how you are doing. If you have any questions please ask, somebody around here will have an answer. Only tell those who you think will support you other than that this is a very personal thing and isn't anybody's business unless you want it to be. Hugs to you.

Wishing you the very best today. Hour by Hour you will get through it.. Clear Liquid has to be the hardest of the stages. Just keep drinking. And try to stay busy or occupy yourself with something today, a book, a movie, go for a walk, talk to a friend on the phone. Take a nap. Whatever will help the day go by. Tomorrow is your day. And what you do today will help you in surgery and afterwards. You are in my thoughts and prayers

Oh my, so angry!

People say the stupidiest stuff. And yes coming from someone in the medical field coupled with having struggles of their own you would think that it would be a person who could encourage you and give you advice, not dismissing what you have done as the EASY way. Makes my blood boil. Because this isn't easy. There is not one dag gone thing easy about this. From the beginning with just checking it out and making the decision to jumping through the hoops and waiting and hoping to be approved and then preparing for the surgery. Most people who depend just on diet and exercise have already stopped and started a new diet or exercise program in the length of time it takes us to get surgery. Then there is the surgery and the recuperation and the trying to drink and eat and get vitamins in and pain. Add in the emotional and hormonal changes. EASY. If this is easy I sure would hate to see what hard is. And to the friend who really doesn't get it and said something so rude as I have never known you as not fat, I want to slap her. Ok stepping down from my soapbox. Big Hugs to all of us. Cause we need all the encouragement we can give each other. Because I am convinced no one understands like each of us what we are going through. -

you are transforming before our very eyes. Good job. wishing you continued success. i think you have this under control. Very happy for you. Keep it up whatever you are doing cause it is obviously working. -
I really like Unjury. The Chocolate Splendor flavor is awesome. I have the choco splendor, the vanilla, the unflavored and the chicken and they are all very good. I switch between these and the Fuzzy Navel Nectar from Snythrax. The nectar you can get at the vitamin shoppe and the Unjury you order on line at Unjury.com.

There are no words to express how senseless and tragic this is. My mind can't even imagine the pain of these parents and other family members. I have prayed and will continue to pray for comfort for all those involved. It does make our concerns seem trivial. God bless each and every one of those involved and affected. Innocence was stolen yesterday. As a mother and grandmother I can't imagine any greater pain or loss.

It is so perfectly normal for you to be nervous. This is a big deal and you are going to go through a lot of different emotions. But you can do this. It will be so worth it. Everyone has fears and concerns but just take one day at a time and keep busy this week. And pretty soon it is going to be a week after surgery and you are going to be so happy you did this. If finances and time allow, go get a mani pedi or massage, Do something special for yourself the next few days. Do something fun, go to a movie, visit with family anything to help the time go and to boost your confidence. Find something to smile and laugh about today. I am praying for you. I am praying for peace of mind and comfort and a very successful surgery. YOU can do this.

Tonight should be fun and interesting. Big Family Christmas Party. Some people I haven't seen for a few months. Wonder if the 30 pounds I have dropped with pre op and surgery will be noticeable? I am sure not worried about the food. I am taking a protein drink and a couple ounces of applesauce and going to socialize instead of worry about eating. My step daughter made our contributions to the pitch in so I didn't even have to cook something I wouldn't be eating. I am pretty stoked about going, it will be the first time out of the house since coming home from the hospital. Going to try to take a nap this afternoon so I am well rested and can really enjoy everyone., Hope everybody is have a great Saturday. -

Sounds like you are doing very well. I am so happy to hear this. Today is my 11th day post op and I think I am doing pretty good too. I haven't weighed in a couple of days but when I did I think it was wednesday I was down 2 pounds from surgery. My belly is still very bloated So I am sure my body is holding onto some fluids ect. But all and all I am glad I did this and I think I will be healthier because of it. Wishing you the very best. -

Vitamin Water Zero
Vicki Loichinger replied to patsy1965's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
thanks sounds like it would do double duty with the vitamins and the fluids. I did get a lemon one the other day and it was a bit tart, I will have to try some other flavors -
Friday Weigh-In!

some great loses today. Way to go everybody. -
no sugar added applesauce has been my main stay since getting home on sunday. It is easy to measure and goes down really easy and sits well in my pouch. No bad reactions from it at all. I could have oatmeal, mashed potatoes or cream soup. But seems like such a hassle to try to make it and then only have two ounces. The applesauce is by far the easiest. So I have been eating two ounces of applesauce three times a day, and drinking three protein drinks a day plus other liquid. I hope I am doing this right. I am still on the full liquid stage. Day after surgery in hospital they gave me mashed pot and oatmeal in little one ounce medicine cups.

Not Trying To Be A Downer But?
Vicki Loichinger replied to OleHippieGal's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I have been using the multi cyrstals from Celbrate. It mixes with 6 or so ounces taste is wild cherry. So I get the vitamins and the liquid at the same time. It says it has calcium in them too, but I am sure not enough to meet all our requirements. I am going to try to add some chewable calcium in the mix today. I am going slow trying to not add to many new things in a day. So far so good. My nut said NO to gummies for some reason.
