Hello i am new to LBT. i have just started my process of going through the lap band surgery. I have done everything that needs to be done, now just waiting on approval from insurance. This is my main concern as i am sure you all know insurance companies dont like to let go of their money. Just a little info about myself: I am 39 years old happily married to a wonderful man who is very supportive to the lap band process, mother of two children 13 and 11 years old. I have been overweight for about 11 years since the birth of my youngest child. Baby fat never came off and i probably never tried very hard. My health is my main reason for going through this process and secondly i need to feel better about myself. So far this web site is just wonderful with loads of information. HELLO to all!!

Hello i am also from michigan and my dr that i am going through is Dr. Obeid at Hurley also. I am still in the getting things rolling process. What is your input on how long it took the office to get things rolling with your process.

Thanks for the reply. I just called their office the other day and left a message with Gail to call me back to see what needs to be done next and I have yet to hear from her. so maybe I will give them another call. Goodl luck to you!! Joann

I have had my consultation and my pysc evaluation also. my next step is to wait for the office to call and let me know if i have been approved through my insurance, I am assuming. Maybe i shouldnt assume. I might call the office to see what i need to do next. :welldoneclap:
