dk4182 started following Help! 6 days post op and think I'm dead, My surgery is this Friday, 3 months post op down 70 pounds! and and 3 others
-
I follow Dr. Grossbard's direction and the weight comes off easy. no soda of any kind, no bread or bread products, no Water before, during or after meals at least 30 mins. chew, chew, chew.... I eat all the normal food just a lot less....just started running.. my job I walk 2-3 miles aday, so that helps.... been heavy my whole life and look forward to have a bmi under 30..... start this venture at 340lbs on the way down to 230-240 would make me very happy. had no clue the weight would come off that fast. I was looking to lose 100lbs in a year. stick to it, hope for the best. as my doc states " You did not put it on over night so why would you expect to loss it over night?"

Just had dinner was hoping for more restriction was able to eat one and a half bowls of Soup with no problems and still felt like I could eat more. far less food than before the banding!!! P.S. I follow the doc's orders to the "t". I figure he knows more than I do and he's a bandster......

6 days post op. Today was the worst time to date. Went back to work (light desk duty) and started to puke. I have strickly followed the clear liquid diet and have lost 25.0 lbs. I'm having a get deal of pain drinking even small amounts of Water. i can not stand full streth drinks must cut it with water ( gator aid, apple juice ect.) am a heavy water drinker but not lately. been takening small slips. i have been having very painful gas pains and eating chewable gas x tabs. been getting hic ups all the time. is this normal or an indication of a problem? any advise? david banded 3-5-04 338 going down (hopefully) 240:guess

Dr. Grossbard in Dade City placed the band on Friday. Now at home, a little pain not bad. Went really fast. Sat in a semiar in Jan, seen the Dr in Feb and Banded Mar. United Health Care covered it. I was a little shocked when I did not have to fight it out with UHC. Got the approval right away..... Thanks Dr. Grossbard and your staff.
