After battling my weight my entire life and watching my dad suffer from complications of diabetes, I decided to make a life-changing decision to have the lap band surgery. My husband is amazingly supportive and has decided that although he's not going through the surgery, he's going through everything else with me. He went on the pre-op shake diet with me and now that we're on day 11, he's eating mushy foods right along with me. He's been a wonderful help and support during the last month as I've started this journey.

I have clothes of every possible size in my closet and at this point, I'm looking forward to "scaling it down" and rather than stashing the fat clothes, giving away the fat clothes.
