What a great feeling. I remember looking down at my hands one day and thinking WTF? Whose hands are on the ends of my arms?It really is a great feeling! Lol, my hands haven't shrank that much, but my wedding ring is starting to get loose! :-)

This may be a litl silly, but it just made my day so I had to share! From someone who has had fat and swollen ankles for so long! I have been walking 3 miles every morning and it has made my legs and feet very sore. So I had my husband rub them for me, and he looked at me and said "your ankles have gotten skinny" I'm not used to them feeling boney! This combined with fitting into the jeans I bought a size to small just before I started the pre opt diet. Is why I'm doing the *** Happy dance***...TOTALLY LOVING my band!

Yep' date=' for me! Melissa first day, Danny that night, then Amanda, next morning. They were so great! I had a wonderful experience. Too!! Loved walking down and seeing the birdies! Feeling a little better today, sore tummy! But able to drink and have Decaf coffee and SF Italian ice! I can do this. This week will be rough, but so worth it. Good luck to you. We should chat when feeling up to it!Sent from my iPhone using LapBandTalk[/quote']
Glad you are doing well. I was suorised by the birds, never seen a bird cage in a hospital before! But they were a nice distraction. Yes this is absolutely all worth it! I have recovered well, incisions haven't really bothered me much. Mainly just the port site. But the glue is starting to peel and it itches like crazy! But I'm scared to peel it! Lol

Please do not be discouraged it took quite a few pounds before I noticed it in my clothes' date=' then it just happened, it will come -keep your chin up. In my country we say “keep your pecker up” pecker means chin. LOL [/quote']
I am trying to stay positive. I keep reminding myself that I have only just begun.

Congrats! You will notice that from hear on out you will be needing clothes more often. It was weird... for the first 100 I lost I was able to make do with most of my stuff with pins and creative solutions... Since everythng had elastic waists I could take inthe elastic basically. Those clothes were 3 on top and 4x on bottom. But then when I got into XLs I noticed I started needing clothes sooner thank later but I was losing at the same pace. They say 20 lbs = a dress size... but that never held true when I was fat. But now... OMG is does! In June I was wearing medium tops and 14 bottoms thinking I was skinny as a rail. Ha! 2 months and 20 lbs later some of those mediums are too big and I am wearing sized 10 in pants. Go figure.
Best of luck on your continued journey
Congrats on your success...That's AMAZING!

That certainly IS life changing' date=' don't sell yourself short, be proud of yourself!I lost 23 pounds and notice nothing, perhaps I lost it in my toes, LOL.[/quote']
I have been feeling the same way. I've lost 15-20 lbs since pre op ( not sure of the difference between my scale and the Dr.s since my old one broke and I had to buy a new one.) But I have lost no inches in my waist. And that is a real downer! I just cant bring myself to understand how that's possible?

That's FANTASTIC! Congrats!

Sorry apparently my question posted twice. On my other thread about this, everyone has said it does say no sugar added.
-
I found it at Walmart- and it was labeled sugar free. I can only find chocolate.
Really? Lol who knew carnation instant breakfast could be so confusing?! Was the box blue as ^^ said?
-
Ok, Thanks for clearing this up! I was totally looking forward to getting some. I was so disappointed when I seen it had sugar in it. Guess I'll be going back to Walmart tomorrow!

Ouch! I had killer hiccups last week that hurt deep in my chest too. They went away on their own after a few minutes. A good warning not to eat too big of bites.I have heard they are a warning you ate to much, but I'm still in liquids and not even getting all of those down. However to my relief they did pass after a few mins.

So sorry you've been having a tough time. I had a really hard time on day 3. Started to get hunger pains and terrible nausea and weakness - but could not tolerate anything sweet. Made me gag just thinking about it. So I focused on broth. I had TERRIBLE buyer's remorse!! Kept wondering what the hell I did to myself!! But I am 10 days post-op now' date=' back to work, and really feel like myself again. It gets better!! Promise! Here for you if you need to vent... : )[/quote']I too thought, what have I done to myself! But as I talked to my Husband and Mom they lifted back up and know I did what was right for me.
-
I sounds like it is just an unfortunate side affect.. and I will just have to find a way to deal with them.
-
Thankfully, my Dr. Finally called me back and called me in some anti nausea meds. Which I took along with my pain meds. And I buried my nose in 50 shades of grey. So I have to say today was much better than yesterday!
