  1. Thankfully, my Dr. Finally called me back and called me in some anti nausea meds. Which I took along with my pain meds. And I buried my nose in 50 shades of grey. So I have to say today was much better than yesterday!
  2. @ Kristinsmommy, It sounds like we are band sisters! I hope your pain gets better, stay positive! Good luck on your journey!
  3. Today seems better than yesterday. So that's a good sig! Luckily my incisions have only bothered me when getting up, but after I walk around for a min the pain gets better. I'm a side sleeper and managed to sleep partially on my side with the help of a pillow pulled tight to me. But it did hurt getting to the side position. Thanks for the suggestions. I'm gonna try them.
  4. Unfortunately my surgeon never called back ;( but I made it through the night. I just had half a protien shake so hopefully my energy levels will be better today!! (Staying positive) I also had the patch behind my ear and the reletex on my wrist. I would hate to know how bad I would have felt without them! I haven't been able to find sf apple cider along with ff fugesicles! Or sf Italian ice. All of which I was looking forward to. However I have been drinking vitamin water zero and it seems like all the vitamins in them seem to help alot, so im gonna try to get one of those down this morning....again Thanks for all the advice!
  5. Yes, I have been using a heating pad. Its not so much the pain that has me down. I can handle that. its the nausea. The thought of all liquid especially broth make me sick! So I have been just sipping water as much as I can. I did just take some liquid loratab in hopes that it will make me drowsy and maybe I can sleep off this nasty feeling. Interested to see how I do with the protien shakes tomorrow...Thanks for all the moral support! That alone helps alot! I know that this will get better in a few days, but right now that seem miles away!
  6. Thanks, I kept telling myself it gets better and it will all be worth it in the long run. Im gonna go check that out now. And I doubt I have been drinking enough. I guess I need to work on that.
  7. Thank you, I am going to find some alcohol right now! I can't wait to beable to eat something. But I'm also a litl scared too! :\
  8. Thank you so much! I sure hope someone will know. I called my surgeon and his office was closed. So I left a message on his exchange # and haven't heard back. I think is has a lot to do with not eating for 4 days!
  9. I am officially banded now! I cant wait to get this show on the road! And also to feel better, I have a pretty high pain tolerance. But the gas pains, especially in my back are no joke...ouch!! :/
  10. Thanks ladies, Walking definitely helps! Its so nice to have support from this group and know that it does get better! Can't wait to share my journey and hopefully my success!

    Day 4

Today was my 4th day as well. I'm allowed 3-4 protien shakes, broth and clear sf liquids. Tomorrow I drop the protien and can only have sf liquid. Surprisingly, I have not cheated! But can def relate to dreaming about food. The 1st night I had a dream that I was in a sea of milk, floating on a giant donut!! and could not stop eating that donut to save my live! Lol

    Protein Question

@ Vegasmommaof1, Your welcome. Glad to help! @ mis73 Now that you say that, I remember my dietician explaining that in the nutrition seminar. But that was 3 hr glass and they go over so much, it's hard to wrap your head around it all! Lol That's what's so great about these sites you can pretty much find an answer to most questions. Thanks for refreshing my memory!

    Protein Question

Im not sure about this and someone please correct me if I'm wrong. As I am new to this as well, my surgery is scheduled for thursday 9/6/12 So I have been reading ALOT! trying to prepare myself as much as possible. I read somewhere recently that a good way to measure the amout of protein you need is to multiply your weight x 0.3 grams of protien and that's the amount you should be consuming daily. Hope this helped!
  14. I dont know Dr. Fowell personally but some of the other people at the nutrition seminar I had to attend were going to him. I am currently on day 3 of my pre op liquid diet and my surgery is scheduled for thursday the 6th! So I'm SUPER EXCITED! but also starting to get nervous! ....lol gotta stay away from those LB complication threads!!
  15. I'm in Stl area also, Going through the New start program w/ Dr. Ginsburg. How about you?
