with the lap-band it's a slower weight loss. and if that is a major concern then WLS is not for you. some people do elect to get LB and Gastric Plication done at the same time. but that isn't really needed in my book if you follow the directions and rules of the LB

i did a lot of research before i chose mine and watched a lot of youtube videos with testimonials and almost everyone who had some other kind of WLS said they wished they had done lap-band instead. or they were planning a second surgery to get the lap-band because they were unsuccessful with the first. with other WLS you have the surgery and are sent on your way with LB surgery you work more with your Surgeons team consisting of a dietitian a exercise physiologist and your surgeon. I think every surgery has complications nothing is perfect. and we all have health issues to begin with that's why we turned to WLS. LBT is a place were we can vent and express what's going on with our bodies so we know if it's normal or not. but in truth none of us are the same and all our journeys will be different. we can't compare ourselves to each other. but the common thread we all share is that we are all happy to have LB and each other. and i wouldn't change what i did for the world.

I started mushies today i was so excited to have something more solid in my stomach! it was awesome!. My dad even made me rice pudding ( which is is the best ). i know i have to be careful with that one but it was nice to have something i enjoyed. i also got some strawberries i pureed them up so they are the consistency of applesauce and i am gonna try them with my protein powder. i feel full today which was nice after feeling like i have been starving. Tomorrow is my 2 week check up i hope everything goes well. I've gained a few pounds back i think because my bowels are backed up and i am retaining water. Either that or my antidepressants are messing with my weight again, since i just started taking them again. wish me luck tomorrow!

i've been sleeping in my stomach for about a week now and i got my band on the 10th -
that's what i took and it helped so much! my whole stomach itched like crazy and not just around my 6 incisions. i scratched once and went through the ceiling! lol

pain meds can cause you to get backed up. you can drink prune juice or something else to help things move along.

being a little itchy is good it's a sign of healing but you could also be having a reaction. i took an allergy medication after my surgery and it took care of the itch

i can understand that but common most ppl have common sense not to cheat unless they already have. pureeing is good for your chicken and other things

just remember walking helps but the gas isn't in your legs. try to move the part of your body where the pain is. massages are good too. the heating pad is the best! but if you have a rice pack you can use while trying to move. and drink water it helps flush the gas.

take the total fat g and multiply it by 9 and that number should = the calories if it's higher than the actual calories that the fat content is way to high and should be avoided.
