I didn't have the bump issue as I was always smaller chested.... So I went from a 44c to a 34a.... And lost all shape and elasticity. My husband called them the tubular bells... I wasn't amused.
And 3 weeks ago I bought some new ones. . I am now 34 full B. And they look better than when i was a young woman.

Do you mean that little fat bump, it kinda has a hunch back look to it but on a much smaller and less noticeable scale? If so, yes I had it too. I started with HUGE boobs, too. I was in a 54H bra before I had surgery.
That bump on my back is gone entirely now. I'm not even sure when I lost it, I just looked when I read this thread and went "Oh hey, it's gone!" LOL!
My boobs have shrank a lot. I'm now in a 38DD. However, I won't lie, they aren't pretty. I definitely will be getting a reduction and lift in my very near future.

I use a Corning-Corelle small divided plate and I love it! They are so cute, I bought 6 of them. I hate having my foods touch!
I also started using chopsticks.... More socially acceptable when eating out. But, I got a few smaller size utensils. They are like cocktail utensils and they do not look weird.

I definitely use smaller utensils...I have super tiny forks I got when I lived in Korea. The US children's utensils are designed weird to me. But the little fork has helped me SO much!

I say you do what works for you, we are all different and who cares how silly or ridiculious it is. I still eat off a small plate, use a smaller fork, time my meals I still measure and weigh my food and I am two years out and at goal. I plan to stay thin and it it works it works.

I use a small fork, spoon & plate. Hubby knows when he set the table to put my special utensils out for me, lol.

I used childrens plates and utensils. I felt that it helped.

Like others here, in the beginning I found a set of baby utensils to be very helpful. The little fork and spoon helped me to learn the proper bite size.
Now that I've banded for a year, I don't use them anymore, but that's only because these days little bites are second nature to me.
I say go for it- do whatever works for you!

I've found that a shrimp cocktail fork works really well for me.

I am also grateful for the 6 month pre-diet. The food relationship changes and you get used to trying things a new way and with WAY LESS CARBS! I actually gone up and down a pound or too. Mostly, my Doc has said that the insurance company is hopping that your burn out in the 6 months and don't finish the process so the company doesn't have to pay.
Stick with it. Try new Protein stuff in the food section here, it's help me branch out my protein/food options. Cheers

I don't care what it looks like. For me, it works. I have a small plastic "child's" fork that I carry in my purse. I use it everywhere. I'm not going to have an episode if I can help it.
Honestly, it's all in what you feel works for you. I use it, another bandster might not. You have to find what works for you and do that (within your surgeon's guidelines).

Well! I have made it. I am finally getting my BAND on Feb 14th. Wahoo! I am so ready. This has been a 1 year process! I can't wait to get this done!

I can't wait to feel confident that the image I have of myself in my head is who I see when I look in the mirror and who everyone else sees! And to be healthy... and I have an inkling I will have one heck of a shopping habit--especially for boots and heels that I can't wear now because my feet are in too much pain. Also, to not have so much weight on my abdomen and feel comfortable driving without my belly rubbing up against the steering wheel (that's super embarrassing)...
And I can't wait to discover more non-scale victories that I don't realize will be right now.

i also cant wait to shop in the non plus size store... my date is 10/17/12. i forsee myself having a shopping habit also,, i know now all the skinny clothes are cheaper! lol..less material!

I want to go shopping with my teenage daughter and not get cranky and want to leave the mall because I can't find anything in a normal size store. I just want to walk out of my house each day and never have to worry about covering my body and that feeling of what others think about me. I'm tired of going to the store and looking at women my age being so healthy and wearing such cute clothes. I want the sense of beauty back in my life. I am tired of being sad.....
I am looking forward to just saying noooooo to food and all the miserable things its made my life to be.
