I did the ROC Race this weekend...it's a 5k with wipeout game show type obstacles. It was SOOOO FUN!! It is also a great starting 5k if you're looking for a fun race because we only had to run about a quarter mile at a time. Granted I was training and can run a complete 5k without stopping but my friends were not and still had fun. I highly recommend it!!

I have been struggling lately. I'm definitely in a plateau and I know what I need to do to break it. I'm just enjoying summer WAY TOO MUCH!! So to make myself feel better about maintaining I decided to look at my measurement chart. Sure that was encouraging 11 inches in my waist. Wow!!! But this is what helped even more and I encourage you to do it.... I held the measuring tape up to each body area at my OLD measurements so I could visualize how much smaller I am...it really helped me to see how far I have come in the past 11 months. Stall or not it will boost your confidence and make you feel good about how far you have come. Tell me how it made you feel...

Very active before lap band, worried about endurance post-op

You are only 6 days post op. Give it a few weeks as you will see your stamina increase. Right now your diet is extremely calorie restrictive and thus you will be tired. My surgeon told me to stick to walking and light exercise for 6 weeks. I was cleared for weights but no abs after that. At 12 weeks I was allowed to start ab exercises. Now I'm an exercise junkie...something I definitely was not before surgery. You will get back to your old routine in no time. Just try not to overdo it. -
Here is an article I read about heart rate and weight loss. You probably need to up the intensity of your workouts if you're current workout isn't helping you lose then you may need to change it. http://exercise.about.com/od/weightloss/a/The-Truth-About-The-Fat-Burning-Zone.htm

Wow. You are looking fantastic ???‰way to go -
Today is my 13th wedding anniversary so I decided to try on my wedding dress. I am about 15 pounds heavier than I was on that day so I tried not to get my hopes up too high. It was a but of a struggle and I had to do some serious sucking in but I got it on and zipped!!! It was an exciting NSV! I didn't think I'd ever be able to put it on again.

I would try to change up the cardio routine a it if you've hit a Plateau and add some weights a couple times a week. It's amazing how doing something different can help our body start to let go of the weight again.

I use the myfitnesspal app. It tells me 1200 cal now but it was higher based on my weight at the time. I usually eat my exercise calories or at least some of them. In currently doing another Shaun T workout Focus T25. In this nutrition guide it says 1200 or 1600 cal split up thought the day 300 for meals and 150 for two snacks or 450 fr meals if your goal is 1600.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

No I just ate healthy and stayed within my calorie goal.

He said I looked amazing but like most men didn't get too sentimental.

It's funny how someone means well and wants to compliment but it somehow just hits a wrong chord. You are an inspiration either way!

Great idea! Looks like you're doing awesome. I too enjoyed your labels. I think it's important that we are able to see the overall downward progress as we deal with the small daily ups and downs that can frustrate us. -
That's awesome! Congrats!
