You know the best part of all these selfies is the confidence you can see exuding from the smiles. Especially since many of us spent years without it.

My eyes are bigger than my stomach
goalseeker replied to MrsFraga2016's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I know it sounds silly, but use smaller plates. That way, it looks like more food when it isn't. I don't use dinner plates anymore...I use paper plates alot. They are smaller and work great. If you have salad plates, try that...or even kiddie plates. I do this too. I never use a dinner plate anymore. It's ALWAYS a salad plate. I found I too would overfill my regular sized plate. -

Oh I selfie ALL the time. Funny thing is I was just thinking about how often I do it this morning. I do it for the same reason too. I have to look to believe it's really me.

Weight loss first week
goalseeker replied to Wendydarling19's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't worry it'll slow down. I lost a lot the first week then lost about 10 lbs a month for the first 7 months. Then it really slowed down. You're on liquids only and it tends to fall off pretty easy. Follow the doctors orders. Listen to your band telling you you don't need anymore food. If you do your part the band work. I love mine. -
New to the group. Lap Band scheduled for Feb 13.
goalseeker replied to anissa_walls's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome to the family! The band is the best thing I've ever done for myself. Follow all the doctors instructions. Be as active as you can be and you'll be on your way to your goals. You are already a success! -

I'm 35 and have lost about 90 lbs. I have little to no loose skin. My boobs suffered the most ???? I work out 6 days a week and try to put lotion in religiously. Sadly though there is no way of predicting how your skin will react. Luckily you have youth on your side.

My friend is renewing her vows and asked me to send her a pic from my wedding. So I did. No big deal really until I actually looked at the pic and realized that even though I am 7 pounds from weighing the same as I did in 2000 on my wedding day, I am thinner and leaner than I was. It has always been my goal to lol at least as good as I did that wonderful day. I never thought after having two kids I would be looking better. Man do I love my band.

Reached one of my goals
goalseeker replied to goalseeker's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I workout six days a week now. Last January I started with insanity. I did that twice. Then I did Focus T25. I finished p90x two weeks ago and am now two weeks into p90x3. P90x did a lot for toning my arms and back. I didn't lose weight but I toned up a lot. I probably would've lost ha I been better about my diet but it was the holidays -

Input needed; protein shakes/iced coffee
goalseeker replied to Sherlock1969's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I add the protein powder to the iced coffee drink and it's delicious. -
Kicking butt!! Congrats!

Also remember if the yoga is new and your muscles are sore they retain water while healing. Be patient and try not to weigh too often if the normal fluctuations bother you a lot. I always get more frustrated when I weigh daily.
