October Spooktacular Challenge

My surgeon suggests centrum complete. Funny how they are all different. Mine told me to avoid gummies because try aren't as complete as the others. I guess it doesn't really matter as long as you find one that has all the vitamins you need and you can stand taking them.

Wow! You are an inspiration and a great writer. Thank you for sharing your story!

I went in for my first appointment to discuss a fill. My dr and I agreed that since I seem to be in that "green zone" a fill at this point would be unnecessary. I had 5cc put in at surgery and don't need anymore yet. I have read as you lose weight the band also loosens so I may need one down the road.

It truly is a great tool. I too can eat a small amount of food and stay satisfied for at least 3 or more hours. I am surprised everyday at how little I can eat and not feel hungry. I was banded 6 weeks ago. I am so happy with this decision.

goalseeker replied to rumcookie5's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I ate a salad with chicken on it from Carl's Jr. today and I was banded 9/4. I had no problems eating it and was also full before I finished the whole thing. -

Please Help Me Understand Post Op Diet Rules Normal Diet Importance Of Carbs & Cals
goalseeker replied to 2savemylife's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My nutritionist told me to focus on getting at least 50g of Protein in every day although 70-80 is ideal. I find it hard to do if I don't have a Protein shake for Breakfast. I basically eat a protein shake made with 2% milk, frozen fruit and spinach for breakfast. This way I get a serving of fruit and veggies in as well. lunch is some kind of protein with veggies and a few crackers sometimes. dinner is again some protein and veggies. I have just started introducing carbs like Pasta and potatoes but I try to REALLY limit my intake on them. I am keeping track of calories but dont have a calorie goal. I am feeling like I'm in the green zone because I can normally do 650-900 cal a day and feel satisfied. Hope this helps. -

I want to be IN pictures with my kids so they have memories of me when they are young. I want to shop at target and other inexpensive stores in their regular section. I don't want to feel like my students are looking at my fatness. I want my children to learn consistent healthy eating and not witness a lifetime of roller coaster dieting.

I'm down 15 and I swear half if it is in my boobs! My hubby is terrified they are gonna keep shrinking. I am a little too but I'm hoping to go from a F/G to maybe a DD and if they are droopy he promised to get the girls a lift

It was a little tender but we did it five days post op. I'm still tender but the right position helps that. No major limitations. -

Why Did U Chose The Band...
goalseeker replied to shelly513's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I chose the band because it doesn't have the malabsorption issues, the weight loss is slower and more natural to me. The commitment to make sure I eat right will help both me and my family. I like that it is adjustable to fit my needs. I am hoping to have less excess skin with the slower weight loss. I was banded 11 days ago and am SO happy.
