A Very Blessed December Challenge
goalseeker replied to lisaholland73's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Checking in at 214.1!!! Down 2.6 pounds I FINALLY reached my first goal...pre pregnancy weight of 215. I'm so excited!! -
I'm not sure how pregnancy is affected by the band but my surgeon made me sign a waiver saying I was not going to be trying to get pregnant for two years (I think it was 2 yrs). Luckily I am already done having kiddos. Good luck. I definitely suggest discussing it with your doctor. There is a pregnancy thread to look into as well on here.

First Follow Up And Weigh In!!!

That's amazing!! Congratulations! -
I love it too!! I have become a snob as well. I have tried the honey and like it. I focus on my protein intake and don't worry about much else at this point.

I agree with everyone else that says you need a new dr. Your office obviously is missing the whole point of the lap band and the way it is supposed to work. When you have the time if you could write a review on ANY site available about the dr. that would be really helpful in helping others to not have to experience this frustration with this office/surgeon.

When Did You Feel "normal" Again After Surgery?
goalseeker replied to AmyBK's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I think it took AT LEAST a week before I started feeling Normal. Keep walking and sipping. For me the walking was the most effective for the gas pains and soreness. -
Wow!! That's incredible! Congrats!

Support Group Raised Questions
goalseeker replied to pinkcess's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was banded sept 4 and am down 34 pounds. I feel hungry just like everyone else does but I am satisfied on a MUCH smaller amount if food and I stay satisfied for SO MUCH longer on that small amount than I ever would have before. Yes with the band you have to make the right food choices, get your fills and exercise regularly. I still haven't had a fill yet. Thankfully my surgeon put 5cc in at time of surgery and it seems to have out me in the green zone right away. This doesn't happen for most people. It is ABSOLUTELY the BEST decision I have ever made for my health. For the first time in my life I feel like I am going to reach my goal and STAY there! This forum is a great place to get support and answers and encouragement. -
Checking in at 216.7. Down 2.3 for the week. Doesn't look like I'm going to meet my goal for the month but I did meet my exercise goals even through my week off.

Yet Another Silly Success

That is an awesome NSV!! It's the little things that keep us going when the scale is sometimes a meanie lol -
I gave up my morning cup for about two months but once it started getting cold in the mornings I started to crave the warmth of it. So I'm back on the juice. My dr said it was fine to have coffee even in the Clear liquids stage but no creamer. (Which I cannot do!) This is why I originally broke the habit.

I'm 3 months post op and have lost my four year old daughter who weighs 35 pounds. She feels so heavy when I pick her up. Glad that's not always on my body anymore

goalseeker replied to Wimic's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm sorry to hear your struggling. I am only two months post op and understand how hard it is to fight off the head hunger and boredom eating. I am on myfitnesspal too. Feel free to add me goalseeker32. -
Checking in at 219.0. Down only 0.8 lbs. not as much as I was hoping for but at least it's a loss. I'm supposed to start my TOM too so that could've contributed. Gonna be hard to hit my monthly goal of 215 now but I'm not giving up. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I don't have problem with popcorn. I do eat it one kernel at a time though. Try it and see how you do. Enjoy your movie
