wow great job you will really notice the help now. I have the same band with 6.5 cc and that has been my green zone....
-
I am 64 and have had some joint issues so I went for strength only and I like the curcit machines and I have lost 44 lbs and gained a lot of mobility and the joint pain is so much less...I feel I will have to work up to the cardio stuff. I do light weight but faster one day and the next more weight and a lot slower...
-
yep, try a tums and see if that helps...mushie or liquid for a day or two should do it.
-
I'll let you know 46 more to go for 90 lbs off.lol I got the band in Aug and down 44 lbs and when I don't want to go to the gym I sit down and look at my legs and stomach and cant believe what I have already done. I have to smile get my shoes on and off I go. I always feel emotionaly better when I go to the gym and I just do weights right now. You have to talk back to your brain when it tells you something shouldn't do like "just have one cookie" then say out loud "you know you wont stop at one" stuff like that. good luck and it is so much easier with the band and the fills amount in it..you just wont believe it...this time IS really different.

line-dancer replied to Rn925's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
good luck with that some folk's do not me had to have 3 fills now I am doing very well. -
time for another fill. I can not over eat on the good stuff but junk goes down to easlily so I am so glad the holidays are over. You will know better after Tuesday but it takes a lot more then that to move the band or hurt it.

line-dancer replied to Lorenjv's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi and welcome we are a great group lol hope to hear from you often. -
I take a lot meds the same conditions but have not noticed any of things you mention sounds like a visist to your regular doctor is needed.
-
wow this sounds like only you and your doctor can figure out. Please let us know what you do I am sure it will helps others.
-
interesting I don't know why it would be a problem. Hope you feel better soon.
-
give it a couple of weeks b4 a fill get all the goodies out of the house and that doesn't mean you eat them. Track every bit and exercise on track and see how it goes only then will you know if its you or the band needs a little more.

I was always told one cup, protien first most of us on here do a cup there is a few like you told to do 1/2 cup that seems so hard to do. I have a 10cc band and didn't feel any help until I reach 6.5cc and I am never hungry and I make sure I eat every 4-5 hours so I don't get hungry and eat to fast or something quick then it get stuck and hurts then I can eat anything. You have to listen to your body and sorta of take the average of what you You aren't going to feel full , you will feel satisfied or just not hungry. gl to you . you can do it

heating pad, gas x and milk of magnisa all help a great deal.Sorry you are having such a bad time but it will pass soon and it will be all worth it really it will.

Does anyone else worry they will fail with the band?
line-dancer replied to dolphintattoo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
first off hugs to you. I to take meds to help with the meantal issues over the years but it never helped me loss all the weight. I was banded in aug 2012 and have loss 44 lbs and I an not hungry. I cleaned out my house before surgery and told everyone do not bring junk into the house. I do very well eating the same thing daily so I make a large pot of veggie soup (very little broth) and that is filling. you can do this and we are all here to help...come into the chat room every day someone is always in there to help. -
try milk of magnisa every couple of days that helps me. fiber tablets if you can take them.

No restriction, doc doesn't want to fill
line-dancer replied to farmgirl04's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
O agree with the above I think he to give you 1/2 cc if you are getting hungry this shouldn't be misiable that is why we all failed in the pass. I have found that just over half full works for most people. -
I am new to the band (aug 2012 lost 42 lbs) but I have never heard of a 4 cc band right there that's odd. If you want a band keep looking around for the right place..you have to trust your doctor and the procedu or you wont succesful

considering the band
line-dancer replied to lizzybell's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I just had mine done in Aug and it is the best thing I ever did. I am never hungry and my brain isn't always talking about food, that part a alone makes it worth it. Save you life by getting this or something like this done Good luck -
Green-zoners....whats your portion size or daily calories?
line-dancer replied to Rebecca Cain Salpacka's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I average around 500 cals but my tracker is has a high of 1000 either way I have been losing 10 mo. I am doing strength exersing at the gym and hope to do more cardio in the future. I don't keep anything in the house that I cant eat and tell the kids not to bring it home and if they do they have to hide it so I am not tempted so far its all working. -
Realize Band-C CCs to Green Zone?
line-dancer replied to losangelesislovely's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
10cc band 6.5cc in it and feel fine. It isn't support to make you feel anything at the banded area it is there so the first bit of food triggers the nevers there to tell your brain that you are full. one cup of food should keep you full 4-5 hours if it is not get your fills. If I take to big of bit or don't chew well it gets "stuck" and that is big time restriction and hurts. so restricktion isn't what you are going for its the staified feeling for 4 + hours. -
port placement

Did I overdo it?!
line-dancer replied to Peaceful1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
have some hot tea or just hot water if you don't like tea. if you had added a lot of milk to your oatmeal you would probably fee; better. Stick to what your doctor told you and always pack a protein drink with you for days like today. Also soup would be a good thing to order
