Roj is so right I to have arthritis in all joints and had real problems in my hips so I couldn't walk much or dance and I love to line dance. I started to get shots in my back that worked in my hips but what really make it go away is losing 59 lbs now I can dance 2 hrs straight and love it. Swimming is great try to get into that. good luck

How many cups of food ? Confused :(
line-dancer replied to Birdie1973's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I do 1 c 3 times a day and if I need a snack I track everything and stay within my calories . If you can eat more then 1 c per meal you need a fill...I am satisfied all day but I plan for head hunger with good snacks yogurt, apple, one serving of crackers but still stay within my caloiers for the day. I think the band is magic, for the first time in my life I am not hungry all the time, food doenst call me, and I can eat like a normal person. If you do the work your band is a great friend -
most likely reflex and tums should help. Also make better choices b4 bed and earlier if you can. I try to have at least 3 oz of protient for dinner and sometimes that is all I can eat then. Last night I had yogurt a few hours b4 bed be gental to you tummy when u can.

I also like my band on the tight side and it has worked for me but it is not for everyone. I am 31 lbs from goal so I will keep going. You have gone through a very stressful time and you have been in morning sorta speak you might want to talk to your doctor about adding medication for anxity also It helps t me a lot...you will get back on track come in here a few times a day, track your food and dri k your water that will get you started and the rest will follow

Push your doctor for another fill or change doctors if you must. The fills is how the band works without the proper level you aren't getting the benefits of the band. -
so sorry for your loss I know how hard that is to go through but so glad you are now ready to take care of yourself I am sure your Mom is cheering you on with that. good luck with your new start

my port is right under the incision on my right side I did get some left side pain and as soon as I had a BM it was gone. Take softeners is you aren't having BM anyway and let us know what the doctor says

Its to soon we sll want to come off the table and to feel different you just don't because its healing time no matter how fast you think you heal the doctor give you plenty of time because rushing it could cause some very serious problems... Its hard to wait so more but you will do it and right now you are learning the progam and as you get your fills and find you green spot you understand more...

line-dancer replied to NicVio's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
that is great that you were able to maintain your weight for a whole year I don't think I could have. As you go along it ill get easier so just hang in there I love losing weight now as I see the numbers go down and how good I feel. I look at myself and cant believe what a difference weigh loss makes. You will do it just keep it up life is looking great for you. -
why did Dr 1 say that the band was not enough? check with insurance comp if Dr 2 is ok with them and then go see what he is all about. At this stage you cant have to much information check it all out.

I just broke 200 so I know the joy you feel right now and it only gets better keep up the great work
