Start with talking to your doctor make sure all is good and ask his help to get on track again maybe a fill is needed or just a new plan. Clean out the house of the food that calls you and track every bite. Find something that excites you to get moving again maybe join a guym or get a friend to do walking daily or something new a difference. Check you senior center for the classes they offer its cheap and fun. Good luck

Struggling More Than Ever...
line-dancer replied to CCornell87's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
For me the best thing about the band is it stops the head hungry for me. I recently got sick and haf to have the band empted and I was so hungyry until this last fill now the head isn't telling me to eat every second. I need another fill to make the pocket for that added help. I have a 10cc and it works best as 6cc in it. Empty your house out from the junk food it helps if its not there to begin with. You have done a great job and you can do this... -
feels so good keep up the good work

no root beer because of the carbonation ..if you could eat a regular meal and everything went down you will probably need another fill in 2 wks take it easy on it today and drink a lot of water and see how it goes

being to tight would be every meal not just certain meals right? I found it to be that way I never make more then I can eat at one meal for the reason everyone said.

line-dancer replied to koolkel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't understand why the person would put more in the suringe then what she was going to put in..odd. anyway stay on liqids and call them if you don't feel better in 2 days -
for me tracking every bit keeps me on track and 1200 and under so at least I haven't gained and for me that is a win. cleaning out my house of food I cant eat really has been a life saver as the devil in my head has a different plan so I figure out how to beat it and it has worked so far...good luck its a chanlenge that is for sure.

calling the doctor is the best thing to do and early so they don't have to take it out I didn't and its a slow recovery to get the fills back to green.

It sure does keep up the good work.

Help Please started Exercise and in alot of pain..but not giving up!
line-dancer replied to rayanne's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Well, you need to start slowly every other day and maybe work on muscel strength first then aerobics.. if you do it this way and hurt like this you will give up start slowly and give you body time to rest and heal inbetween...hot bath and advil should help -
no gain is a win before you would have gained it all back and then some so the band is working....get a fill that will help a lot and that is how the band works best by being the right size for you and you head great job at holding steady for 3 mos....you are a winner...

Had Lap Band and have BIG sweet craving!
line-dancer replied to wendythatsmyname's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
see your doctor and have the band looked at to make sure it isn't slipping from vomiting. Get back on liquids only for a few days. for something sweet add a flavor to your coffee, Snapple helps me, yogurt with fresh fruit with sweetner is my go to. Just like any life change it take a lot of work and some suffering, this isn't easy like so many think but it helps so much if you do the work. Get the doctor ASAP. Its not the sweet tooth its the vomiting thst is the problem -

I need my band removed
line-dancer replied to Seanbrianhallman's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
are you sure its the band that's the problem and some other health issue? I would think that any gastro doctor could remove it. -
you have a great mind set and you will be a winner all the way around. Great luck and keep us posted...
-
you have gotten some great advice here and I agree...sounds like a family dinner because the brother is the center of attention....it will be a good night to go out with friends, do you nail, dye you hair, just a girls night in. there will be a family dinner where you two will be the center of attention.

go to your doctor or plan parenthood.. for a real test then get on some sort of birth control. now that you have the band even if the birth control did cause weight gain which it does not this should ease your mind. life is all about thinking before doing and setting yourself up for success this is part of it. For now go to the store and get some off the shelf prevention until you get the advice of a doctor. Babies are forever and they come first this is the time to put yourself first and set yourself up for a good future for you and you children... good luck

bubble guts and diareeah
line-dancer replied to brianna143's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It good that you are cleaning the colon it is dumping out all the toxin that your body has in it before surgery and your new life. Get so anti-diahea meds to slow it down or stop it. the sound you are hearing and feeling is again the body dumping all the toxin and will settle down as in progress on the program. I went the other way and have been consitapted but just recently found that lentil soup correct that problem and taste good so also keep that in mind for the future just in case. -
use your heating pad all the time. drink liguid tummies love that. Stool softners/.laxitive or lentil soup works well to get the gas/air out rest and heal your body is in shock. Hot showers also helped me....this is the worst part life is up hill from here....you will probably need more time off just see how you feel. Really try the lentil soup just need to simmer them 15 mintues then blend them for where u r now they taste good and get the colon working very well and quickly.
