:help: I'm just starting to eat real foods again which is exciting and scary at the same time. I'm logging everything I eat into a great site called my daily plate.com. Here's the thing, how many calories do I take in ? I'm 5'10 and 345 right now. My starting weight was 359. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. :hungry:

Yes, lots of protein, I do boost shakes usually one a day, I also do powder protein. I make sure I get plenty of protein.

I do tend to graze, but that's because I get full quick and eat little at a time.

I had to wait 2 weeks, I was just way too sore !

I just had my surgery monday too, I also had my hernia repaired. Every symptom you mentioned I have . You sound pretty normal hun, only difference is I really don't have any hunger yet. Just thirst.

Hello all ! I'm so happy we have our own thread! I was banded monday and I think I'm doing quite well. The liquid hydracodone helps too. I also had hernia surgery so my upper abdomen where my diaphram is where most of the soreness is. It can hurt to breathe and cough etc. Getting up is a pain and it takes some time. So far though I'm still so excited and glad I had this surgery done! I already have lost weight, I haven't weighed yet but my daughter keeps telling me I look thinner and my face looked so much slimmer this morning. Yea for march bandsters !!!

I had a hiatal hernia also, I got just had my hernia and lap band surgery yesterday.It is more painful with the hernia surgery, you have a lot of upper abdominal swelling, because of your diaphram swelling. It really depends on how bad your hernia is too.

Hello All ! My name is Charlotte and I live in Lake Dallas. I just got approved for lap band and hernia surgery today! My surgery date is March 19 ! Next Monday! :clap2: I'm looking forward to getting to know alot of you. I've already ready checked out the before and after pics, let me tell you those are inspirational. All of you are so brave ! Hopefully I'll be updating some weight loss soon!

I have a surgery date! I'm getting my band and hernia surgery on monday the 19th of march. I'm quite new to this site, I actually just joined two days ago. :clap2:

I think they are BAD ! I would literly eat the whole box in like a 12 hour period, therefore I never buy anything like that.

Hello All ! I'm new and I'm in the DFW area too ! I'm in Lake Dallas and I'm starting my pre-op liquid diet today! :eek: That bandster dinner in arlington sounds fantastic! I'm definately in! My sis is also a fellow bandster and she lives in arlington, hamuchan. :clap2:

I've has a few of these situations play out. I was like 8 mons pregnant with my first and I was getting examined by my ob and she patted my belly really hard and said ," Sure is thick in there!". :cry I went to my moms house to visit, I was a single mom at the time and she told me"You need to lose weight so you'll be pretty then you can meet a great guy!" I was floored. :faint:
