I have used pills, Byetta shots, the HCG diet and all other kinds of diets to lower blood sugar readings, which had helped. I think by using Byetta injections, I may have caused myself harm. I now have chronic pancreatitis, and I am not nor have I ever been a drinker. It's either from the Byetta or the diabetes. I have been overweight many years, with intervals of normal weight, but always returning to obesity. The lap band was recommended by my primary care physician with the hope it will cure the diabetes, sleep apnea, high blood pressure and return my pancreas to normal. I have everything riding on this surgery and it scares me to death![/size][/font]
