can't believe it is almost 4 weeks post op, still being careful and paranoid someone will punch me in the stomach, starting feeling hungry and am satisfied with a teaspoon of mush. first post op check is in a month, probably will get a fill. not supposed to start solids for another week but slipping in some chicking here and there, tastes good. almost healed, don't see much of a difference with the plication verses the lapband but may be too soon to tell. lost approx 12 lbs and then nothing for about a week. drinking 64 oz water per down and trying for 90 g protein either shakes or greek yogurt or ricotta cheese. all and all things are good

Tomorrow will be 2 weeks, unbelievable. Lost the 5 I gained post op plus another 6. Now I am curious if I continue to loose 1 or 1.5 lb per day what happens when I reach my goal and keep loosing. I weigh 154.6 this morning and goal was 140. Of course 120 would be sweet. No complications, added cocoa powder to my shake with 2 equal, awesome. Put chicken in the food processessor, chicken salad mush, really good. Looking forward to six week check on 10/19, I should be 100 lbs by then, probably will have to drink ensure to gain weight.

Got my stitches out today, I have blood blisters from the bandaids, and they itch uncontrollably, put aveno cream on hope that works, antibiotic will be next. Feel good, drove, errands, 2 shakes, lots of water, wanted ice cream but don't we all. Next visit is tuesday, hope to loose the water and gas weight by then.

2 days post op and amazing I am almost out of pain. My regular lap band slipped, probably because I overate and threw up a lot, anyway, learned the hardest way. Docotor replaced lapband and added stomach plication. It was hard to decide whether to do this because there is so little information on it. I commit to updated my blog for those who have the option and can't find any information. There was no more pain than my originally lapband surgery and so far so good.

cbp1224 commented on PrincezzSondra's blog entry in PrincezzSondra's Blog
suggest you speak to the doctor, perhaps you band has a leak or was damaged in your accident. I am scheduled for revision surgery this morning as my band is no longer working. I know the frustration and panic you feel. -
4 to 6 months depending on how quick the doctor moves

Told I Need A Conversion. Anyone Done This?
cbp1224 replied to chatty826's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
in feb 2012 had scope and band slipped, doc removed my fluid and had to wait 6-8 weeks for upper gi, then another 4 weeks for a fill. the doc scheduled surgery for 8/27 and i'm going, when i went for preop on the 23rd, doc offered band with plication, has anyone done this?? not fda approved , I nervous because the lap band was to control my diabetes and it did until it failed. I gained 15 pounds since lap band unfilled and now no restriction. I weigh 162 and not sure if I am doing the right thing. Doc says plication will help loose weight faster but mostly clinical trial to use both lap band and plication to prevent slippage. reply quick, surgery is monday, thank you -
my revision is 8/27 having plication, very nervous and looking for someone who has had this where they fold the stomach in half and sew it together and leave your band in as well.

Hi my name is Cheryl and I was Banded 12/9/08 and successfully lost 60 lbs. About 1 year ago I plateaued and thought I need a fill. I ate very little but developed a reflux 3 or 4 times and then it went away.. I stopped loosing weight and actually started gaining weight. The doctor had scheduled an endoscopy as routine and took all the Fluid out this past February. I had to wait about 6 weeks to have an upper GI before he would attempt to refill the band after the slip. On June 6th, he put in 2cc. I haven't lost a pound. Over the course of the last 6 months I joined the gym, walk 21 miles per week, swim and try to be very physical. I eat plain greek yogurt for Breakfast, salad with baked chicken for lunch and a shake or mere Protein for dinner. No budge on the scale. The doctor scheduled revision surgery for 8/27/12 and when I saw him yesterday he offered a plication. I never researched this and there is very little information out there. I obviously have to decide now so has anyone out there had this procedure???
