Serves me right for being too greedy. Went for a 3rd fill and had good restriction. Started losing weight but then for my next doctor's appointment, I told doc to tighten it more. Was too tight!! Couldn't keep anything down!! But the weight was coming off which was the only positive thing for me. I was getting too gassy, kept burping & had bad heartburn. Was vomiting everyday! Was basically miserable, couldn't enjoy any foods but my goal was to lose weight. Doctors requires all their patients to go for a check up. So I had Xrays done to make sure everything is ok. Seems like my lapband slipped! So I had to have all my fluid taken out of my lapband for 3wks so hopefully my band can fall back into place. By the end of the 3wks, if my band hasn't fallen into place. Then doctors gonna have to perform surgery again on me. We live and learn :-/

Wow!!!! Regardless of my situation I'm going through(posted on other threads) I'm happy to say that I'm glad my doctor gives me fills when I ask for them or unfills me whenever I need. I have a great doctor from New Jersey.

Unfill 1 week later < is that crazy ??

On my 3rd doctor visit, I had a good restriction amount of ccs put in my lapband. I was losing weight & was enjoying it. I got a little greedy on my 4th visit & told my doctor to fill me up some more. My lapband was so tight!! I couldn't keep anything down. Instead I felt so gassy, had heartburn & was vomiting everyday. I was miserable but happy I was losing weight! I went back to the doctor to have it unfill. He took some out of me, then I noticed it was still too tight. I went back & he took out .25cc out. My doctor requires all his patients to go get a checkup, so I had to have xrays done. Seems like because of all the vomiting I did on a daily basis, I slipped my lapband. So now I had to have all my cc fluid removed. Hope the lapband can fall back into place normally. If not then I'll have to have surgery.. Urgh.... :-/ -
Thank you Karen ((HUG)) May I ask, how did your 2nd slip happen? I guess I mean, were you careful after the 1st slip? How are things going for you now? Are you band?

207 Lbs Gone... 10 Lbs To Go
Cpvillacis replied to FLORIDAYS's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
From my experience, I'm always having cravings to eat. I always want to eat whatever delicious plate I see but my fills won't allow me to eat a full plate of food. Not even two bites. I feel so gassy & uncomfortable, I just don't bother trying to eat. Seems like when people get that gassy uncomfortable feeling. Means the band is on too tight. Overall my cravings are still the same, just lapband is in the way. -
Hi everyone, I'm just curious about something. Everytime I take a small baby bite of food, I feel a heartburn pain. Then sometimes I try to make myself burp. If not, I accidentally burp out loud.. Apparently I'm getting gases in my chest. Does this happen to anyone else? Is this normal? What does it mean?

It Happens All The Time.. But Why?
Cpvillacis replied to Cpvillacis's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Yes I've had 3fills. Sometimes its hard to burp. Like if the air is stuck & won't come out. -
Thank you everyone so much for your comments. I gave it a few days and now I'm doing a lot better. Guess I just needed getting used to it. I don't throw up anymore & my eating habits are under control. I appreciate everyone's advice :-)

Hi everyone, I got my first fill in late September. That first fill didn't do anything for me. I ate regularly, finished my plate too. Then I went back two weeks later and the doctor tighten the lapband for me.. Now I have trouble eating but am still hungry! I have my same appetite but can't eat the food comfortablely. I chew so much, then wait for it to go down.. food going down takes forever! Meanwhile my stomach is still growling. It will take me over an hour to finish my plate of food. 20mins after my meal is just served, my food is cold. I've vomitted twice! I just wished my appetite can go away because I'm still hungry. I stop eating because its uncomfortable eating, not because I'm full.

Out Of Curiousity... Band Slipping...
Cpvillacis posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi everyone, I just had my lapband on 8/28/12... And everything seems so far ok... I haven't vomited or anything.. but I've been told that I must follow the diet to avoid band slipping... How does a person know if their band slipped? Is there certain side effects? Just wondering what to look out for... -
My doctor told me the same thing right after surgery. That in 6wks, I will get my first fill. I was supposed to get it in mid October. Then I was scheduled my first appointment early September. Then was told I had to come back in a few weeks which was 9/27 on Thursday. Surprisely they gave me my first fill.

I just got my first fill this past Thursday 9/27/12. And I got 2ccs injected in me. I think I should get more but overall, this hunger may be mental. I know I can eat an tire plate of food but I put my part in it and say no to the rest... I think I should tell my doctor that 2ccs ain't enough because I could eat more and I do feel hungry a lot but I'm just scared I'll snap the band if I pig out.

Hi everyone, my name is Cindy. I'm 31yrs old from Newark NJ. I really don't know what to say on this but I just got my lapband & so far I didn't expect my stomach to be in pain but luckily I'm taking the pain medication doctors prescribed for me which is helping me out alot. Nurses say the pain is normal because I have five holes in my stomach. My goal is to lose 150lbs, let's hope in due time it gets accomplished. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. -
Thank you so much Juan :-)

How does your band slip? Hope my band didn't slip. -
Being able to run will be my new years resolution. I just started walking yesterday. Today was my 2nd day walking for an hour at the park. I plan to increase it and do running next year :-) Keep up the good work everyone.

I own the Weight Watchers scale. It's good and works pretty well for me.

Only Feel Restriction For 2-3Weeks After Fill
Cpvillacis replied to missyjk79's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have a silly question... Forgive me for asking this but how does the procedure goes on getting your first fill? Does doctors do xrays to see how is the band inside you? How do they know if everything is ok inside?
